Exploring the Town of Reflet

In the morning, when I woke up and opened my eyes, the first thing I saw was a familiar face and scarlet red hair lying on my chest. Her hair was a mess, but she seemed to be very relaxed, and comfortable. I battled myself whether or not I should let her keep sleeping or wake her up. Then decided to let her sleep and got out of the bed as stealthily as I could. First, I decided to check my evolution progress, so I just uttered, "STATUS".

• CELESTIAL-ANODITE TRANSFORMATION: Anodite transformation is made entirely of chaotic-life energy. All Anodite related powers have evolved to chaotic life forms.

• Enhanced Mind: The ability to influence other minds or protect one from other mind-related attacks. It also allows the user to absorb knowledge on a much faster level.

• Blood Manipulation: The ability to control, change, and manipulate blood. This includes blood fusion or analysis.

• Osmosis: The abilities of an Osmosian; including absorbing energy, matter, or DNA and manipulating it. The energy absorption pool of Osmosian has been breached and expanded to an unknown level by Chaotic Life Energy.

Oops! My strength and vitality have increased too much. This place seems full of Chaos energy, which evolved my Anodite energy into a chaotic form. It even unlocked a chaotic version of my Anodite Transformation. Now, most of all, what I really wanted is the Dimensional Space. I can't what would have changed in Natasha's body once she wakes up. Anyway, I shrugged my thoughts and started to prepare breakfast for us. First, I checked the contents of my Pocket Dimension. Luckily, everything seems to be in place. I took out some milk and eggs and prepared two glasses of milk and omelets for both of us.

"You didn't stop to amaze me, Ben. Every time you do something unbelievable, first use all that magic and now you made the whole house disappear into nothing and absorbed a ball of Vibranium to cover your whole body. I am thinking what else can you do?"

"It's related to my blood. I am not entirely human."

"What do you mean?" She asked in confusion.

"My grandmother, Verdona was an alien. She was from a race called, Anodites. Anodites are native to a planet called the Anodyne." I told her and her eyes became wide.

"Your grandmother!?" Natasha asked.

"Yeah, my father's mother."

"So, if your family was living in New York for so long then, why didn't we know of them or heard of them?" She probably believed that SHIELD would have been able to track the alien activity on earth.

"In Anodite's lineage, there is a very low probability of active alien genome. In my family, only I have successfully activated these genes and one was my cousin Gwen. She died a few years ago."

My mood become very sad as I talked about my family, probably because of all the memories I inherited from this body. It felt really off.

It was still morning that I along with Natasha was walking towards the nearest town called the town of Reflet. It was not a very big town. Natasha was wearing a silver and black full body armor made of Vibranium and Uru, which I made using Osmosian powers. I am just glad my Osmosian and Anodite powers work in this world. However, I am wearing full body armor of the same design with a double-edged sword on my back.

When Natasha woke up I immediately checked her status with <Psychometry> which also seems to have evolved and shows all things including the information of living and non-living.

I was practically speechless to see the standard black widow transformed into a Chaotic version of Black Widow.

"Your powers have increased, Natasha. I think it is probably, the energy JULIE talked about. Practically, you seem to be more powerful than Captain America." I said while we were walking.

"Huh!? So, that's what it is. I noticed changes in my reflexes back in the forest but I thought it was my hallucination. I feel presences around me, even when I close my eyes." Natasha was dumbfounded for a while then recovered from the shock and said.

"That is called <Presence Detection>. I have a feeling that it would improve even more." I informed her about the ability.

After walking for a few minutes, we reached a giant gate guarded by a total of seven guards. As we went near them, they noticed our presence and two of them came to us.

"Welcome to the town of Reflet, Travelers. Identification papers please?" One of the guards said and asked for our identities. Generally, identities in this world are necessary for adults. Not to mention, the standard age for adults in this world is 16 years. There are several things that work as identification of people, the national ID of the citizen, Adventurer Cards, and Merchant License. In our case, we would like to register ourselves as adventurers because the Adventurers are allowed in every country and are considered to be part of the Adventurer Guild which is an independent organization.

"Sorry Sir, we lost our National ID on our way when we're attacked by some wolves." I looked into their eyes while using the Magic of my Mind-Control. It was pretty easy to use on these people, I don't know why? Then I continued further, "We left our village a few days ago and wanted to register ourselves with the Adventurer's Guild."

"Very well, a guard will accompany you until he can confirm your Guild cards. So please don't mind him." He said in a standard military-like tone. I nodded towards him. He turned around and called another soldier.

"This feels so nice. So peaceful, no noise of cars, machines, computers, etc." Natasha said as if feeling kinda nostalgic.

"Yeah, it feels really amazing. After we are done with the guild registration, we gonna have lunch in one of those places and find an inn to stay." I voiced my plans for today. Julie really was able to judge society's general setup just by scanning the individual. I need to find a library also. I think I can make her a homunculus body if can get my hands on some enchantment magic books. And I am also curious if I can use this world's magic. Back on earth, I tried several magic books and I could do all of them.

We walked into the town and soon reached a building with a huge tag of 'Adventurer Guild of Reflet' on top.

"Here we are, young people." Said the soldier from the front as he opened the door and walked inside. I almost forgot about him. We walked into the building through the main gate. The first floor was laid out as a restaurant. We proceeded towards the reception. The female receptionist met us with a lovely smile as we approached the counter.

"Mini, these youngsters are here for registration."

"All right, I got it." She said to the guard who came with us and put two forms on the table. I filled out forms with our name, family name, and our primary weapon. I wrote Sword for my weapon and Spear for Natasha and handed back the forms to her. But for some reason, Natasha and I both could read and write in their language. The language of this world seemed like the Old English of the Anglo-Saxon age. Old English was the first form of English used a number of tribes in Europe called Angles and Saxons along with some other tribes whose names, I don't remember. I have tried reading Old English in our home-world but I wasn't fluent but hear, I don't seem to have any problem.

After about 20 minutes we got our new cards. We said fair well to the guard and stayed for a while in the Guild. The receptionist explained the system of guilds and how it functions around the world. According to her, The Adventurer Guild is an organization that handles the registration and management of adventurers. They also mediate jobs between different clients and adventurers.

The job of the Guild is to advertise various clients' requests and manage the rewards. At the same time, the guild can also act as a bank where adventurers can deposit and withdraw money at any guild branch. The guild manager is able to exchange information or request with other guild managers of other areas using an artifact called a Tracebook. It is also possible that the requesters assign certain adventurers to do their request.

The requests are divided by rank based on their difficulty. All requests available in the area can be seen at the guild's request board and adventurers can accept a request by submitting it at the receptionist desk. After completing the request, the reward can be taken at the receptionist desk by presenting the evidence of subjugation or the quest card with a stamp of approval from the requester or if a higher authority confirmed the quest completion. If the adventurer brings an extra amount of the requested item, the guild will buy the rest at market price.

The ranking system is based on the difficulty of the request. The lowest up to the highest-ranking are black, purple, green, blue, red, silver, gold which each corresponded with the status of beginner, adventurer-in-training, adventurer, veteran adventurer, first-rate adventurer, elite adventurer, and hero respectively. As the rank progressed upward, the request which being offered also increased in difficulty. To upgrade their rank, adventurers need to collect quest points or receive a certain number of recommendations from a higher authority such as king or emperor.

It was a whole lot of information which we mostly required. As a professional assassin, Natasha was listening attentively and noting down all the useful information on a pad she got from the reception. When the receptionist finished her explanation, we headed to the Guild's Request Board to see what kind of requests we can accept. I glanced at my own card and it was [Black – Beginner]

We checked the jobs regarding our rank and it included fighting low-class monsters (horned rabbits), gathering herbs (for alchemists, apothecaries, and potioneers), delivery, babysitting, or manual labor. I got interested in a delivery quest; it was a mail to the capital city of Belfast.

"Excuse me, Miss. I would like to sell a few materials. Could you recommend a place for us?"

"The guild provides those services as well. What kind of materials do you want to sell?" She said while we walked along with her to the reception room. Then she gestured us to follow her to another room.

"I have a few bars of gold and a few diamond crystals," I said in a casual manner. Then I took a gold bar from my <Storage> and gave it to her. The gold was made ago as practice materials for my Osmosian ability, since gold was very easy to absorb and transmute so it provided very good practice for my abilities. As a result, I have tons of gold bars in my storage.

"Such pure quality of gold. Normally, I don't have the authority to carry out such business, but now the guild master is out on business. Now I would have to complete this request on his behalf." The unnamed receptionist said. I didn't have any reason to know her name and she didn't tell me herself.

I put 5 bars of gold bars and about 10 Diamondhead's crystals on the table and let Natasha deal with her. That is because I could feel that the receptionist was not talkative.

I started thinking about my journey from here onwards. This world's mana is denser than ours that's how it triggered the evolution. The combined abilities of Anodite's Life-Energy absorption and Osmosian energy absorption are absorbing energy faster than ever. Since we traveled to this world, I also developed a theory. If I can travel to this world through SPACE Stone then it might be possible to travel to other worlds, like X-Men or probably the DC Universe. If I can go to those worlds, then I need to make a list of people whose powers I can absorb and can help me to fight against the strong anomalies like Galacto, Dormammu, Apocalypse, Thanos, and last but not least the Celestials. I just have to let Natasha train here in this world, so she could become powerful. The powerful companions the more powerful bad guys' butts can kick.

Now, here's the list, first Wanda, Gordon (an inhuman with the ability to teleport), Lincoln (an Inhuman with the ability to channel electricity), and Lash (with the power to produce enormous energy blasts). Gordon's ability will make it easier for me to teleport faster than the Anodite's teleport, or maybe it can combine with it. Lincoln will simply boost the power I absorbed from Thor. Finally, Lash's power will make an amazing combination with the existing powers I have. And if I was successful in going to the X-men dimension, I would try to absorb some of Jean Grey's phoenix's powers of cosmic fire. And as well as; Rogue. I believe I should convince them to bring them to my world with me since both of them cannot be contained or controlled by anyone. I could just bring Rogue to this world and let her train.

I was just lost in my thoughts when Natasha came to me, "Here, we got 60,000 Gold Coins for all five gold bars and 500,000 Gold coins for the Diamond crystals."

I didn't say anything and put all of them in the <Storage> and went outside the guild after taking the 'Delivery Quest to the Capital City of Belfast'. It was a letter to be delivered to a blacksmith. As we walked through the town in search of a good place to eat Natasha turned towards me and said, "Ben, you are just a total rich bastard with all that powers. You can just use it and create more of those diamonds and gold."

"Language, Nat! I just did because it was necessary and we don't have much time to earn money here."

"What do you think of those things, Nat? Those look like beef." I said pointing towards one of the stalls.

"Whatever! I just wanna eat something." Said Natasha and started walking towards the stall.
