Poison

Magnus landed close to the spider. That last attack is currently one of his most powerful attacks but to perform it, he almost depleted all his Qi reserve.

"So this is my current limit. I need to make haste or else I will be bound by these unnecessary limitations forever." Magnus thought as he proceeded to extract the core of the beast. The spider is a rank 4 beast so he already has a pretty powerful core inside him.

After that Magnus immediately ran towards the exit. The valley has two openings so Magnus decided to run towards the other openings.

"Dammit! Why are there so many monsters here?" Thomas shouted as he slashed his sword. He can't believe that he fell into a trap. This entire mist is a serious trap.

The beasts and monsters became insane as they ripped one another. Thomas couldn't understand anything. "It's an array." Ruhan pointed out in a direction.

Thomas also noticed a shining small array glowing on the ground. Thomas immediately ran towards it and smashed the array into pieces. Immediately the bloody mist started to fade away.

All the beasts inside also calmed down. And the horde of spiders suddenly started running towards the valley. Finally, the battlefield of beasts calms down.....

"Ahhhhhhhhh! What the fuck happened to you guys. Chris? What the fuck?????" In that calm quiet battlefield, Thomas started shouting. He is shocked. Not only are his men all dead but they are practically butchered by someone.

"Horrible! How can someone be this horrible? We are all killing everyone but we never went this far. We killed them and that's it. But they're literally sacrificed. How saddest one can be to commit such atrocity." Ruhan closed his nose as he looked at the scenes in front of him. Suddenly he remembered something. Last night he helped Thomas kill some weak group. After entering the secret land he killed at least only 3 but last night they killed at least 15 people. Do they really have the right to even feel bad? Was they really doing the right thing?

These questions started to float above Ruhan's mind. "Shut your trap." Thomas angrily shouted at Ruhan. "I don't give a damn. If they're so brave enough to touch my man then they should prepare themselves. I will rip them into pieces." Saying that Thomas took out an object from a guy's body.

"It's a voice transmission," Ruhan said. Thomas quickly played the transmission. A pre-recorded transmission started playing, "Ahh.... please. I...I...I didn't kill your friends. It was Chris. He invited Thomas and that guy Ruhan. Please....Ahh....." the transmission is cut short.

"Dammit! I knew I didn't find that little shit. I will kill him.....Ahh...." Thomas already knows who they are talking to. Only one guy bold enough to look towards him and that guy was not present when he slaughtered his friends last night. The fire of revenge ran in his eyes.

Ruhan on the other hand felt a sense of crisis. Thomas has lost his common sense in rage but he was not. He knew that someone who could rip 10 to 12 people and make them as a sacrifice to run an array which also leads to a battlefield of beasts is not a simple brat.

'Is he planned everything from the beginning? Did he know all along that we would be coming here so he set up a trap that could hurt us?' The more Ruhan thought of this mysterious killer the more he became frightened.

"Boom...Dash..... bomb.....Dash" Magnus traverses the mountain range by jumping from one cliff to another. In his back, a weak and injured Shen is hanging.

An hour and a half later Magnus reached a mountain that had a small spring up its peak. It's a beautiful area with small and big trees atop the peak. Magnus laid down Shen close to the spring.

Right now he has nothing to do particularly. The day is about to end so he decided to sleep here the night.

As the sky became Dark Magnus sat beside a tree. There's a small campfire beside him. And Shen is sleeping on the other side.

"Rustle...." Magnus didn't look toward the sound cause he knew what was in there. He sensed their presence half a kilometer away. But he chose to ignore them.

After a few minutes later someone came out of the bush...They slowly approached the campfire and finally stopped before actually entering the parameters of the campfire.

"May sit." A cute girl voice asked him politely. Magnus didn't look at her as he focused his gaze on the burning wood. He simply replied, "You already came here so far so why bother."

The girl quickly said, "I am sorry. And thank you for letting me stay here." Magnus didn't say anything else.

The girl then sat down on a wooden log and quietly stared at Magnus. Afterward, she looked at Shen who was sleeping. "What happened to him?" She asked.

"Injured in a fight," Magnus replied without explaining anything else. The girl hoped to start a conversation but failed miserably. "Hey, I have some medical knowledge. So can I try to treat his injury?" She finally mustered up her courage and asked again. This time Magnus finally looks at her.

She's a small girl size. Probably 4 feet tall at best. She has blue hair and she's wearing a sky-blue coat with medium size skirt. Underneath the coat, she has a white shirt. There is a beautiful insignia of a hexagonal ice crystal in her coat. 

"What's an Ice Heart sect's disciple doing here?" Magnus quickly recognized her outfit. The girl also became quite surprised. Then she replied, "I was sent here on a mission. But I made a mistake and entered this place."

"You are a spy, right?" Magnus asked. "No, no. I am not a spy...I swear. I am here on a trip to collect valuable medicine with my master. But she disappeared all of a sudden and now I am inside this place." Magnus looked at her and thought,

- She doesn't have any encryption mode.

"Where's your master?" Magnus asked. "She and I entered the deep forest sect for a valuable medicine. When we arrived she was invited to meet the sect master. But when she returned she was not well."

Magnus listened to her story and realized that something was not right. She and her master were here to take a certain medicinal herb from the sect master. When they entered the sect everything was fine. Their master was welcomed. But the sect master isn't there at that time.

The sect master was in seclusion training and so they decided to wait for him. But then the next day she woke up only to see that she was lying on the grass and her master was nowhere to be found.

- So Forest sect's sect master is missing, an ice heart sect's elder and her disciples are missing, and the sect is bold enough to start a bloody trial, also a bloodhound that serves someone. It looks like someone is way too bold to fuck everything so badly under Sun Sect's nose.

The girl's story is almost true, but Magnus will still doubt it a little. But if what she's telling him is true then that means that a very high-level cultivator just sneaked in here.

"Is it blood sacrifice or something else like Anna?"

Magnus then looked at the girl who was standing there shyly. He then asked her, "What's your name?" "I am Clementine." She replied.

"Well, I will call you Clem in short. Hi, I am Neil. If you know how to treat injury please help him."

"Gladly." She became happy as she quickly started her process.

"Hawooooool" In the deepest of the darkest night a black wolf-looking beast roamed the plane as it ran towards the mountain.

"There I could sense it. The fruit is still not rotted. I still have a chance."

As the beasts make through it also go in their way to kill any human it encounter.

She quickly took out some bandages and other medicines from her rings. As she said she did have a very good understanding of medicine. She quickly applied medicines to Shen's wounds and then put a bandage on. She also feeds him some Qi recovery pills.

Magnus is watching everything from the side all this time. He knew stuff about medicine so he was surprised that this girl is quite knowledgeable.

'Maybe I can ask for her help. It's not a mere coincidence that I met her here. It's fate.'

"Hey, Clem. I have something to ask you." Clem just finished her task and set down on a wooden log near the fire. She then looked at Magnus and replied, "Of course. What do you want to know?"

"Do you have poison or poisonous herb with you?" Magnus asked her with a straight face. Clem was a little shocked to learn that he wanted poison from her so she quickly replied, "I do have some poison with me, but why do you need poison."

"Good" Magnus didn't replied her instead he took out some glass jar from his ring. "These are from a level 40+ or rank 4 beasts poisonous core and sack. I am planning to extract them to create a weapon."

"This is from a demon spider poison. How did you manage to get your hands on these?" Clem was surprised to learn that Magnus has a pretty powerful poison in his hand. Any poison master will go nuts for these.

She then reluctantly took out her powerful poison. 'oh look at that. One good quality poison." Magnus was excited as he took the poison from Clem.

"You still didn't answer my question?" Clem asked Magnus as he cheerfully started making his stuff.

"Oh. I note I just want to extract a bit of poisonous Qi from this."
