Outpost

Early in the morning Magnus and Anna left their apartment. Last night after escaping from Qing Mao Magnus went and bought a few more things. He bought some armour for both of them and also some other things like cooking pot, cooking ingredients like salt paper etc.

As Magnus and Anna were about to cross the bridge, a carriage with a group of 5 passed by them. Magnus quickly found something interesting about the group as every single member had a cone shape hat in their head. Everyone in the city gate also started to look at them because of their suspicious attire. But Magnus quickly realised who these people might be. 'Iron Empires most elite fighters.' Soon Magnus started to observe them even more. From the looks of it the leader of the group is probably the one controlling the carriage. Her entire body is covered with the black robe only her hand is out that's controlling the carriage. Soon the leader girl also looked towards Magnus but he quickly averted his gaze towards somewhere else.

Magnus decided not to waste time here so he quickly left the place with Anna. Their destination right now is to get a small beast from the beast taming pavilion. Since beasts exist in this world there are also people who tamed this beast to use them as transport or make them fight against their enemies. In this continent every major city has a beast taming pavilion. It usually resides outside the city so that it's easy to manage and control them.

As Magnus and Anna left the leader of the group looked at them for a few seconds. "What is it Betty?" A girl from the backseat asked the leader. The leader's name is Betty Rackham. She's the Rackham family's most elite member and the successor of the Rackham family. She's here on a mission to find her long lost cousin Magnus Rackham.

Betty replied to the girl that questioned her, "I don't know Clara, but that guy started to observe us with more intensity than the others."

"It's probably because he realised that you are a girl. Men are idiots." Another girl from the back said mockingly.

"Don't jump to conclusions, Lumi. He's already with a girl so I don't think it's about that." Betty replied.

"Well that woman is not pretty. She's like a sore thumb. I guess if he's stuck with an ugly girl like that it's possible that he's secretly cheating on her. Hah! It's a tragic story for both of them." Lumi replied.

Nobody said anything back to her this time. It's true that the man's companion is actually an ugly girl. Also Betty realised that he's actually looking at her hands. 'I guess I am wrong. ' She said in her head. Soon her carriage went close to the city gate. This time the guard on the gate stopped her. But before they can say anything Betty took out a paper and handed it to her. The guard nonchalantly opened the paper and soon his entire body started to tremble in fear. The same thing happened to the next guard as they both witnessed the symbol on the paper. The paper is basically simple information for everyone and what's their purpose of visiting. But what's important is that the symbol is actually the represents a sword and a shield. Below that symbol only one word written, 'Rackham'.

Right now Magnus and Anna are running towards the vast mideow. They are on top of a dinosaur type beast. It's a beast that has very fast speed and tremendous endurance. And it can sit up to 3 people.

The beast is running and skipping with a very fast speed. Soon a giant wall came into sight at the end of the mideow. Big big mountains are standing tall and their top is hidden within the clouds. This is Alps mountain ranges central zoon. The zoom that Magnus crosses to come out in the city if Terra is actually the most lower zoon. The beast in that zoon are all beginning level Hanse that place is actually connected with both sides.

It's been ten days since both of them left the city. Magnus calculated that if they run super fast it would take around 15 days to read this location. But with the beasts help this time is greatly reduced. They soon accelerated the speed and quickly reached the foot of the mountains. Anna looked towards the peak of the mountain then said, "Are we going to climb that? If so we need to do something about doro."

She already gave a name to the beast and the beast also quite liked the name as it started to favour Anna more than Magnus.

"Don't worry. There's a route that leads inside the mountain range. And this beast can climb the slope of the mountain. That's why we are taking him with us."

Doro is a earth dragon varient. Although it's current race is degraded to a mare transport it still possess some of the key abilities of the earth dragon. Doro can walk in rough mountain road. Its big claws can stick inside the rocks and with his high jumps he can easily overcome any obstacle. That's the main reason why he selected doro as their mount.

"Let's go." Saying that Magnus started to guide them towards the path that connects to the deep inside of the mountain range. Soon they reached a small water source that is flowing outside of the mountain through a small valley.

"Is it the place." Anna asked. "Yes. From here on we will advance forward. Our goal is to reach deep inside this position." Magnus opened the map and pointed the in middle of a big mountain. "That's the location we will set our base."

Saying that they head inside the mountain valley. The valley is not that big and the path is also very rough and slippery. But Doro is a very skilled beast. He started climbing the path by digging he's claws in the rocks so that it won't get slipped. There are tall mountains on both sides of the valley making it impossible for anyone to climb through both sides, leaving the only way for them is to move forward. They end up going through the path for a long time. About a day later they finally climbed the place where the river originated. It's a mountain deep inside the mountain range. There's a small waterfall flowing down from the top of the mountain. After they somehow climbed the last high point the scenery at the top of the mountain opened in front of them. There's a beautiful lake on top of the mountain. Lake is basically the source of the river through here. After reaching the top Magnus realised that it's not the top. There are other tall mountains connected through here and the lake itself is the product of another mountain waterfall that they can see from there. In the middle of the lake there's a small island. Magnus and Anna both looked at the scenery for a long time. The entire scenery is so beautiful that that Magnus copied it inside him head. He's being doing this for a long time. Coping beautiful sceneries inside his head so that he can create the perfect simulation world.

"How beautiful!" Anna exclamated as she's looking at the scenery. "Hey can we build our outpost in here?" Anna requested with an earnest expression.

"Well. There's no point to deny such a beautiful place as a home." Saying that they went to the island.

Magnus wanted their outpost to be more simple. So they build one wooden house. This side of the mountain range is covered with green forest. The more you go towards north from here the more less forest will be available as the environment will also become more cold.

The house has 4 rooms. Two room is for both of the them. One is a kitchen and the last one is the living room that connects the 3 rooms. Anna looked at both room and after a long time thinking she choose the left room which is facing the left side of the lake.

"This place has more world Qi then the city of Terra. Although it's not quite as much as the Royal Capital of the Red Dragon Empire. But it's liveable."

"Well that's because Capital of an Empire has something called Qi gathering array. That's why they have more Qi." Saying that Magnus took out 12 array plate from his ring.

"What's are these?" She questioned Magnus but he didn't reply instead he went and started to install the array in four different corner of the house. He then install two in both rooms and then the rest of the 6 array plate in outside of the house. All the array plate in the outside installed with a hexagonal shape around the house.

"Don't tell me you're planning to getter world Qi in here. You know that we are in the middle of a mountain with many beasts living here. If you starts to gather Qi in a place it will attract many beasts." Anna asked him with a very worried face. But Magnus didn't reply this time too instead he brings out 6 more array. This are illusion array. He quickly installed the arrays in another hexagon which surrounds the entire island. Soon Anna went outside of island to see if it really works. To her surprise the entire island is gone completely only a lone lake is remained.

"Didn't I tell you honey, not to worry about anything because your husband has your back." Magnus said with a joking tone.

"Shut Up, who the hell will become your wife you brute." She denied with a face that looks as Red as Tomato.

"Well, whatever. Welcome home." Magnus said with pumping up his chest.
