Chapter Twenty-Eight: Betting on Billionaires
Jake's phone pinged with a notification, his eyes nearly bugging out of his head as he saw the latest Instagram post from a blogger.
"Holy shit, guys! Get over here and look at this!"
Charles and Dave gathered around, jaws dropping in unison. There, on the screen, was their buddy Liam grinning ear-to-ear with his arm slung around none other than Ava Taylor – as in the billionaire heiress to the Taylor fortune.
"No freakin' way!" Charles exclaimed, snatching the phone for a closer look. "Liam musta paid that chick a fortune to get anywhere near her for that photo op."
"You kiddin' me?" Jake scoffed, grabbing the phone back. "That ain't no publicity stunt. Those two look pretty damn cozy if you ask me!"
Liam sauntered over, toolbelt slung low on his hips, just as the raucous laughter and jeering erupted. "What's all this then? You jackal getting your kicks at my expense again?"
