Chapter 2

"Amount is big, it can pay you tons easily," Sean, his good friend, said to him as he was seated in front of him, having a beer. They were at a bar where he urgently called him to meet him up. Only to tell him about the illegal ways to earn some cash, it isn't only illegal but could be dangerous too.

It's an illegal wrestling match, where fighters came across from the States and could even beat you to death for the prize money.

"I should live to take that prize money home, Sean," Hugh told him, matter-of-factly. If he didn't manage to come out alive from there, what would be the use of that money? Definitely to buy a coffin for his dead body.

"I know, but think what you can do with so much money if you stayed alive. It is all about risks that you have to take, Hugh," He spoke, talking like a philosopher. He held the mug of beer to his lips and took a sip.

"I need time to think, " He told him.

"Please do consider, " Sean replied, paying the bill for the beers and walking off. His hands began to play with the handle of the beer mug, he didn't know what to do at this moment. He needed money so he could pay his debts off and start a new chapter of his life but all doors have been shut straight in his face. No way of getting out.

He is stuck in this situation only because of that bastard Nick, he ran away with his money too. They decided if everything goes okay as planned, they will divide the money into two portions, one for him and another for Hugh but the cocksucker defrauded him.

Out of the Blue Moon, an elegant fragrance reached his nostrils, he never smelled something this amazing before, he shifted a little to find where it was coming from. It was coming from a lovely girl seated next to him, looking anxious. What amazed him was the way she dressed like an Indian bride. He doesn't know much about it but he has seen it many times on television and in magazines.

Why is she worried tho? He asked.

"Can you bring me something strong that I don't remember anything else?" She requested the bartender.

"Ah, ok, ma'am," He replied and went to bring her her order.

He heard her sniffing as she had recently been crying and now calming herself down. He couldn't help but ask her what was wrong.

"Is everything alright, honey?" He asked when she turned to see him, her gorgeous face took his breath away in seconds. Her lips looked like two rose petals, her chocolaty brown eyes glittered with tears that appeared pretty even in this condition, and her nose was red up a little on the tip. She was just heavenly. And having her almost in front of him for the first time, making it harder for him to behave normally.

"Why do you care?" Her words came ruder than he thought they would. He shouldn't ignore the fact that she has been hurt and cried a lot recently. If she has talked rudely to him it is only because she wasn't able to take out her anger on that person.

"Forget him, he wasn't worth any tears you have shed till now," He told her, she looked at him, utterly shocked as if wondering how he managed to read her out even though she didn't slip any word from her lips.

She tilted her head down to look at her fidgeted hands, "I left everything for him, and he just, " She wasn't able to finish her statement.

"It is okay," He lightly caressed her back to soothe her.

She jerked his hand away, the anger was on easily and can be skimmed off her face, "It is not," she replied, and within a blink of an eye, she gulped the alcohol brought by the bartender. She doesn't look like she has experienced it before. And drinking to forget what had happened.

He take the glass off her hand, stopping her to drink the remaining contains, "You shouldn't drink this much that you can not able to handle yourself later on,"

"Neither do I want to! I wanna forget this night, the people, everything!" She yelled out, bringing a bunch of attention to them.

"Where do you live? Should I drop you home? Is there any way I could help you?" He asked, hoping to get some better answers from her but what she said just left him astonished to his core.

"I've no place to live, and what did you say? You wanna help me? Can you get married to me?" She asked him. His brows arched up together in shock. His heart ceased. She can't be serious, can she?

Of course, the hangover took over her senses, no girl would like to marry a guy like him. He hasn't even brushed his hair for days as it is always in a man's bun. Not to mention, he is almost homeless too.

"I am asking you something, will you marry me?" She spoke again, this time he didn't find a bit of hesitation in her voice. She seems to be sure of what she is requesting.

"You need to get your mental health checked, honey," He told her. Even if she is alright, there is no way she is serious about marrying him. The prostitutes he have slept with also mocked his no-so-human appearance. They even told him there is no difference between a wild beast and him. He always took it as a compliment until today when a drop-dead gorgeous girl is asking him to marry her, she made him wonder if those prostitutes were wrong or if she is also making fun of him.

"I am totally fine, and I am in my right senses too, if you are not married, can you marry me?" She said, raising her eyebrows. The soft strand of her hair fell over her face, she quickly hung it behind her ears revealing her heavy silver earnings.

God must have taken a century to create her. He thought in his mind.

"And If I am married?" He asks, curiously.

"I gotta find someone else," She replied instantly.

"Are you sure you want to get married to me? You might regret your decision," He tried to convince her to check if she wanted to change her mind. She shook her head to herself and chuckled.

"I've regretted all the decisions I've made in my life, and I am positive this won't be worse than them, " She mumbled in an audible voice.

"If that's what you want," He smiled. Apparently, He couldn't deny this offer that was made by her. After all, she is way too beautiful to be his wife and he can't leave this chance to have a lovely wife. She nodded and fetched her phone from her white handbag, calling someone.

"Father? It is me, the girl from morning…" She got away to talk, he waited for her to finish, and she came back and grabbed his hand.

"Let's go,"

"Where to?" He asked.

"Marriage registers office," She says in an obvious tone. He got up and followed her behind, she sat inside a cab and indicated to him to join in. When he sat, the cab started to drive. He noticed the suitcase and a douchebag in the back of the car.

The ride was silent until they reached the spot, they got off and she didn't leave his hand the whole time, there was something in the way she held his hand, the warmth, and softness, and with so much authority like she is already his wife.

"Think again, " He said to her.

"Are you going to have any problem with my religion or my past?" She questions, turning to him.

"Why would I have any problems?" He questioned back.

"I already made up my mind then," She replies, giving him a side look.

They entered, finding the priest standing there with Bible in his hand, he gawked at him awkwardly and worriedly at her. Like he hasn't expected this. He was, no doubt, shocked as well.

"Are you sure about this, dear?" He asked her.

She nodded firmly, "I am, father, just go ahead with rituals,"

He shook his head in agreement, he started to read the Bible. They came to know about their names as she looked slightly astounded. The priest asked them, "Do you accept each other as husband and wife?"

"Yes, we do," They said in unison. They took the remaining vows too. He didn't know how to explain this moment, she's way too beautiful to be with someone like him and he was thinking if she woke up the next morning saying she was drunk and wasn't sure about this won't be much surprising but a little hurtful for him.

"You may kiss the bride," The priest told him.

They looked at each other and he was debating whether to lean in and kiss her or…before he could register, she kissed him, her delicate lips touched his, making him forget who he is for a good moment. He had been kissed several times but they weren't this fine and pleasant. The Priest proceeded with the registration process over the night and they got their marriage certificate too.

"Please take care of her, she is like my daughter and It is getting late, take her home now," Priest said to him.

"Home?" He repeated. Does he even have one?
