Taking It Out On Him
"Don't pretend that you don't know what I'm talking about," Diane warned. "She spent a night at your place and your relationship has already turned worse. What happened?"
Brian shrugged his shoulders. "I thought you were heartily enjoying your renewed relationship with Christian. I didn't know you had the time to pay attention to other people."
He used to think that she didn't understand anything or pay mind to him and Maya since she usually doesn't make any comments. But it seems like she has been doing otherwise.
As soon as Diane heard that, she reached out to slap his shoulder. It was so easy for that slap to land perfectly on him since they were sharing one couch. Brian had no place to run to within that short time frame.
"Do you like her?" she asked, staring seriously into his eyes.
Almost immediately, his facial expression turned ugly. "Are you kidding me?"
