Marriage Contract with a Werefox Prince

"First of all, Mr Saverio I never signed a marriage deal with you. Second, you are my boss and third, you make me cringe!" His brows raised, "Cringe, how?" "Ever since the day I met you, I knew you are the one. How does that sound? Moreover, I do not believe getting married would decrease our possibility of dying." "So you agree with me that those lines are cringe, right? I wonder what those writers were thinking when they wrote them. But I had no choice." Eva couldn't believe her ears. So her boss had to surf through the net to propose to her? Wow, she must be Alice and he must be Johnny Bravo. He clicked his tongue calling her attention before walking towards her. Eva walked backwards and he proceeded until her back hit the wall. He leaned closer, "It's a myth, it's okay if you find it hard to believe, however, aren't you quite tired of the pain you derive when I'm far away?" She swallowed. It is true, whenever he is near her, the pain disappears, however her body begins to heat up whenever he isn't nearby. They were both cursed and the only way to get through is to remain close. This sounded like a typical drama. "Fine. I will sign the deal but on one condition." A smirk came across his lips as he replied, "How many times do I have to say you already signed it?" He paused, his dark blue eyes staring into her ocean blue ones, "Meaning, there are no conditions. The only condition you need to abide is mine." ××× Eva Lee, a young woman lived a free life, however after an incident that took her father's life, she turns into a woman seeking revenge. Tracker

"I got you a new wristwatch, Geneva," Mrs Lee called Eva as she knocked on her door.

"Come in, mum," Eva responded to her call while she continuously prepared for her first day at work.

It was Monday morning, and Eva didn't think there was a need to depend on her invisible wristwatch which most of the time turned out to be super incorrect. She had set an alarm and when she woke up to dress, she had her eyes fixed on the wall clock every second.

Work starts at 8 am and by 7: 45 am, she should be there. She couldn't risk coming late and getting sacked just on her first day at work. How hard that stupid receptionist would have laughed!

Eva hurriedly combed her reddish purple-dyed hair. Though, always dying hair would turn out to be unhealthy for women because of the harm the chemical could cause on the hair scalp, however, Eva could bother less since her hair had already grown out of care.

When she was much younger, she mostly played a role in a teen show, named, 'Talk To Teddy' which requested her to dye her ebony hair reddish purple every time she was on set, however, when she grew older, she noticed that her hair could not regain it's elegancy anymore and the ends of her hair were other colour than black. Asides, her hair broke easily but there were curbing measures she had started to use. All this was before she met her mother who actually advised her to dye her hair black instead to regain her natural colour but since she was already used to the colour, she didn't submit to her.

Mrs Lee smiled at Eva. She slowly held her hands and helped her put the watch on her wrist. "Geneva, this would always ensure you are not late."

Eva gawked at the watch. "Mum, it looks quite expensive, where did you get it?"

"Ji Hyuk."

Eva frowned, "Mum? Are you marrying me off to him already?"

"No, no. I told him to get one for you with my money and I bought it for you as a surprise. Besides, there is a tracker in there."

Eva's eyes widened and she immediately started to free the wristwatch off her wrist.

"Stay calm, Eva. It's for your protection."

"You just made him a stalker!"

"No, no... This is different. It doesn't track you when you don't want it to."

"I do not understand," Eva was on the verge of placing the wristwatch in her mother's hand and grabbing up her things.

"Well, the tracker only turns on when you click on this red button," Mrs Lee pointed at a red button on the left-hand side of the black band.

Eva narrowed her eyes as she noticed it. If she didn't look closer, she wouldn't have known that it was a button. It certainly looked like just a normal supplement to beautify it. "Wow!" She exclaimed. "Mum, so you mean if I am in danger and I click on it, then Mr Hyuk would be alerted wherever he is and come to save me?"

"Positive, dear. I am happy I met someone like him, he will protect you just like he had promised."

Eva clenched her jaw as she fastened the watch back on her wrist, "Mum, don't you think I am owing him a lot?"

"No, child. I told you I have known him for a long time. When he was just much younger, I helped him a lot. Just see that as him repaying all my help."

Only that sentence made Eva's mind cheer up a bit. After a while, when she was done putting all her necessities in her bag, she walked to her mother and held her by her hands, "Mum, you know the twins are stubborn, especially that big head, please do not mind them. No matter what they say."

Mrs Lee let out a small smile, "No, my child. It's okay. Whatever they say to me doesn't really matter. What that matters is I am doing my best to bring them up in the best way I can. I believe they are still young and would get to understand why I did all of those things when they grow older."

"Yes, mother but that doesn't mean you shouldn't beat them like you do to me." A chuckle was let out from Mrs Lee. "Yes, mother."

"They are men. I do not think I can handle them any longer."

"Ah, mum. They are just seventeen!"

"In the stage of developing crazy hormones," Mrs Lee reminded her. "I will end up exhausting my energy if I am to flog them. Punishment will suffix, dear, Geneva."

Eva laughed.

"Your food is set in the dining room. I think Mr Hyuk should be there already. Like I told you, he would take you to your work."

Eva only nodded. Though she was not fully satisfied with it, she hoped she would get along with it.

Eva was talkative even to people she barely met, but she would ensure to shut her mouth up since whoever she was going to be sitting with was a cop and if she did a little mouth stretch, she might end up putting some people into a big problem.

After Mrs Lee was done talking to Eva, she walked out of the room and Eva followed, giving her room a little search before she closed the door.

Immediately they were out, a noise was heard from the window and a young girl appeared again, silently jumping her way in.

She was in a yellow hoodie and her black doe eyes from her glasses started her search around the room until her eyes set on what she was looking for. She held it high and inspected it, "I will quit if it doesn't work this time around, master!"

When she was done, she jumped out of the window as stealthily as she had come in.
