Marriage Contract with a Werefox Prince

"First of all, Mr Saverio I never signed a marriage deal with you. Second, you are my boss and third, you make me cringe!" His brows raised, "Cringe, how?" "Ever since the day I met you, I knew you are the one. How does that sound? Moreover, I do not believe getting married would decrease our possibility of dying." "So you agree with me that those lines are cringe, right? I wonder what those writers were thinking when they wrote them. But I had no choice." Eva couldn't believe her ears. So her boss had to surf through the net to propose to her? Wow, she must be Alice and he must be Johnny Bravo. He clicked his tongue calling her attention before walking towards her. Eva walked backwards and he proceeded until her back hit the wall. He leaned closer, "It's a myth, it's okay if you find it hard to believe, however, aren't you quite tired of the pain you derive when I'm far away?" She swallowed. It is true, whenever he is near her, the pain disappears, however her body begins to heat up whenever he isn't nearby. They were both cursed and the only way to get through is to remain close. This sounded like a typical drama. "Fine. I will sign the deal but on one condition." A smirk came across his lips as he replied, "How many times do I have to say you already signed it?" He paused, his dark blue eyes staring into her ocean blue ones, "Meaning, there are no conditions. The only condition you need to abide is mine." ××× Eva Lee, a young woman lived a free life, however after an incident that took her father's life, she turns into a woman seeking revenge. Kidnapped

"Please, help me!"

Saverio looked up at the woman for a while, trying to check if she was drunk or if there was something wrong with her but she kept shouting, "Please help me! They are here..."

However, he noticed dry tears on the woman's face, and her clothes which were ironed earlier were now looking like one's gotten out of a trash can.

"They are here?" He whispered to himself and then checked the road. He was nearer to the side of the road, it was the reason why the woman had come to him other than other people in their cars. But then, he had no time to have fun with women who had one or two loose screws.

The woman he saw then at his office was definitely someone jovial, someone who would easily pull a prank on any random stranger her eyes set on. So he wound up the car window, however as he did, he saw a huge man in a black shirt hurriedly walk behind her and then lock her lips with his palm, then whisper something in her ear.

With that, the woman stared at the tinted glasses, before she decided to heed the words of the man behind her.

Saverio noticed this and his lungs constricted for a moment.

She was not joking.

In opposition to what he wanted to do initially, he propped out of his car just after putting on his hand gloves. He walked behind the man who had already taken the woman away from the roadside.

Saverio walked fastly, following the moves of the man as he passed through a dark alley. When he got to the man, the man already knowing someone was trailing them, stopped.

The man held the woman tightly, her back facing Saverio and him facing backwards to look at Saverio.

The man smiled and then immediately, brought out a knife that was in his pocket, to warn the man staring back at him.

But Saverio was not moved. Instead of walking back, all the way to his car and preventing himself from interfering in something that would end up being a catastrophe, he decided to fight.

He walked closer to the man and then the man brought out the knife and waved it towards him, however, the man had no idea how he missed the target and ended up being the target.

Saverio, already aware of the next course of action of the man, waved the attack and with great force, punched the man in his face. The man grunted but Saverio wasn't done, he held the man's wrist and twisted it before forcing the knife into his lungs, as that happened, he removed his hand from the man and then held the woman looking backwards.

He dragged her along the dark alley he had trailed the man to and then stopped by his car that was beside the road. He opened the passenger's door for her to enter. When she entered, he entered the car too and then drove since the traffic had lessened.

Meanwhile, the man whose weapon was stuck in him groaned and after he did, two to three men ran over to where he was.

"What happened?"

"Where is the woman?*

"What the hell? Where were you all when he snatched the woman?" The stabbed man said, "Just take me to the hospital!"

One of them looked at the roadside, trying to check if they could see any sign of the man who had attacked them but he saw no sign. He looked at the others and they all walked away from where they were, silently.

"He looked familiar," uttered the stabbed man, and then he added, "Why was he wearing hand gloves?"

"To obviously hold tight his anonymous figure. We could have run a test to check his prints."

"Right," another responded.

Eva, who was in the stranger's car, swallowed tightly. Just some moment ago, she had thought the stranger would leave her and then she would be abducted again by the kidnappers but fortunately, he saved her. She was grateful.

Eva checked the front mirror. She wanted to know who saved her, however, her eyes blinked when the lights in the car turned off.

Seeing this, her heart started beating louder and faster, she wasn't the one to become so timid in darkness but what happened to her today was just enough to make her go crazy. She tried telling herself that this man helped her.

If she decided to drop off, she might end up getting abducted by those men. After getting what they wanted from her, they still wanted more.

"Why?" She questioned, already scared and thinking she just got into another problem.

Could she have fallen into another kidnapper?

Why is Busan filled with kidnappers?

"Address?" The voice came in and her mind slowly shifted into serenity.

"Seomyeon-ro..." However, Eva paused. Right now, all she had to do was to remain conscious. He could be a bad person. Letting a stranger know where you reside is like calling danger to give your door a knock at its most favourable time.

This man might have helped her, however, what man would switch off the lights and leave a passenger in complete darkness? It reminded her of what happened earlier in the day. She shook just thinking of that. She had not overcome the shock yet.

"Keep driving...I will tell you if you need to take turns," she said, warily. She had no idea where she was, hopefully, if she continues to look out the window, she would be able to recognise the area where the kidnappers have dropped her. Those people weren't just kidnappers, she was sure of that.

"What happened?"

Eva looked ahead but all she could see was the transparent windscreen that displayed the cars that were moving ahead of them.

"I was abducted."

"How?" The man asked her and then, Eva saw no harm in explaining in detail.

"Earlier...I had an interview in the morning and took a cab which stopped to take me in. I only knew I had gotten into the wrong car when I saw about three men sitting. I wanted to drop off but they were too quick and I ended up drifting into unconsciousness."

Eva paused, her heart was beating faster as she recalled everything that happened. She just wanted to put everything into a small detail.

She couldn't tell to a strange man that she was raped by two men in the darkness before she fainted and met herself in a strange room again.

"Long story short, I finally found a tiny means to escape and that is how I stopped by your car."

"Do you know what they want from you? Do you recognise any of them?"

"Yes, only one of them. The one who grabbed me, the rest were wearing face masks."

Saverio gritted his teeth. It seemed the man who grabbed her away was someone with more than enough confidence and didn't think hiding his face was essential.

"Were you harmed?" He asked. He was trained by his mother to be very observant and to have a heart of gold concerning others, that way, he would be able to continue being in his veil, otherwise, he didn't see any need to ask.

Eva sighed. "They... they didn't harm me," she lied, tears now streaming down her face.

Saverio could tell something was wrong with the woman, however, he thought she was still frightened by the incident.

"Please, sir, can you lend me your phone?"

Saverio hesitated but he handed his phone to her after unlocking it.

"Thank you."

Eva collected the phone from him and then dialled her mother's contact. She knew her mother would be entirely worried about her and would have phoned her multiple times but those men took her purse from her. They looked like petty thieves but she was sure there was more. It looked like they were hired but who would hire them to rape her?

Her mother picked up after dialling twice. "Hello, mum? It's...me."

"Geneva? Where have you been? Do you know how worried I was? Why was your phone switched off? Where are you now?" A worried voice filled her ears and by that, Eva burst into tears. She had been holding them for a long while now and after hearing her mother's voice, she knew she couldn't hold still.

She had thought she would never see her mother and her lovely brothers anymore.

"Geneva? What happened?" Her mother's voice filled the air.

"Mum..." She sobbed. "I...I was kidnapped."

"What? Where are you now?"

"I'm free now. I am... I was saved. I am heading home right now."

Eva couldn't see her mother's expression but she could already tell that her mother was about to slip into her slippers and run outside to come and meet her where she is. "I am almost home, Mother."

"Darling, be back real quick. Oh my goodness... Did they do anything to you?"

Hearing that, Eva burst into tears, she swallowed and then uttered, "They...they..." However, she said instead, "I will tell you everything, Mum."

Eva tapped on the red button and then handed it over to the stranger.

"Thank you, sir..."

While driving, Saverio looked at the profile of the woman his secretary had sent to him previously and then he saw her address. He didn't want to bother her anymore. After a while, he stopped the car and unlocked the door.

Eva walked out of the car and bowed in appreciation, then she walked sluggishly away from the car to her house.

Saverio looked through the glass and then drove off.
