Marriage Contract with a Werefox Prince

"First of all, Mr Saverio I never signed a marriage deal with you. Second, you are my boss and third, you make me cringe!" His brows raised, "Cringe, how?" "Ever since the day I met you, I knew you are the one. How does that sound? Moreover, I do not believe getting married would decrease our possibility of dying." "So you agree with me that those lines are cringe, right? I wonder what those writers were thinking when they wrote them. But I had no choice." Eva couldn't believe her ears. So her boss had to surf through the net to propose to her? Wow, she must be Alice and he must be Johnny Bravo. He clicked his tongue calling her attention before walking towards her. Eva walked backwards and he proceeded until her back hit the wall. He leaned closer, "It's a myth, it's okay if you find it hard to believe, however, aren't you quite tired of the pain you derive when I'm far away?" She swallowed. It is true, whenever he is near her, the pain disappears, however her body begins to heat up whenever he isn't nearby. They were both cursed and the only way to get through is to remain close. This sounded like a typical drama. "Fine. I will sign the deal but on one condition." A smirk came across his lips as he replied, "How many times do I have to say you already signed it?" He paused, his dark blue eyes staring into her ocean blue ones, "Meaning, there are no conditions. The only condition you need to abide is mine." ××× Eva Lee, a young woman lived a free life, however after an incident that took her father's life, she turns into a woman seeking revenge. EPISODE 3 So Dumb

But still, she had no mind to open the door and face him. Her heart was still beating hard. She had committed a great offence.

She had destroyed his property and although he was intruding on her privacy, her action still wasn't justified.

And again she had come into his office without his awareness, if he asks what she was doing, what could she say? To crown it all, it was just her first day at work and she was offending someone of high status.

Could it be offensive to say that she was already fired?

His voice jotted her out of her reverie. Eva could hear a clicking sound and his words broke every fibre within her as they came out, "In the count of five get your ass out from there or I blow your head off."

Not wanting to be a victim of the revolver in his hand, Eva pushed the door as her weight landed more on it and immediately, she bolted the door close as if to ensure that he wouldn't harm her. Of course, he wouldn't while she was stuck in here.

However, just as she was done doing so, she heard him say again, "To think the bullet will not penetrate this door and enter your skull, you must be so dumb. I want to know how a dumb person like you got into this building. And really, at the count of five. One..."

Eva opened her eyes widely when she heard him mention, two... almost immediately she unlocked the door, her hands held high as she opened the door to look at him. She felt like a criminal being arrested by the cops.

Was it how it felt to raise your hands at the face of a firearm?

Did those who had experienced this also prayed that a witch could come and take them along so they could escape?

This man...if she got killed here, they were surely going to hide the evidence. She would be at a loss instead and she wanted none of that.

Saverio on the other hand readied the gun and just after the door opened, his jaw fell as he recognised the new staff member. His secretary.

He had thought he would see one of Mr Jones' men who came into his office without anyone's knowledge. He was sure not expecting a woman, to be exact, his new secretary.

He was pointing a revolver towards her direction and almost immediately, he put down the revolver as he heard her greet and then apologise, "I'm sorry for...I mean... good day, sir." Her voice was shaky and it was obvious that she was terrified since her gaze had not left the metal object that was pointing to the floor now.

"And what were you doing here?" He asked, hoarseness evident in his voice while the shock that he had experienced was hidden under his facial skin. He held the gun tightly, not knowing what to do as he stared at her.

She was new here and now, she was seeing him with a handgun?

He didn't want to explain but he then knew there was also a need to explain. This woman seemed to be the one who abided by the law truthfully and seeing him in that position, with that with him would render her speechless and make her do whatever she was not supposed to.

And again, he had not planned to meet her this way. He could still see the shock on her because she realised that her helper was actually her boss but then, he had given her more shock by appearing with a gun.

Eva on the other hand still shook, her gaze was fixed on the revolver before she met his blue eyes. His still blue eyes were dark as if it was a result of his heavy grudge. Eva saw his face, expressionless, just like it was the night she had opened the door for him.

Had this man known alone that he was her boss? If so, why did he hide his identity?

"I had come in here to meet... to speak with you, however, I was suddenly interested in the portraits," the words flew out of her mouth and her gaze went straight to the wall before she sighed, inwardly. True, there was actually a portrait, she had seen it before when she decided to savour his office room before she was caught by him.

"Suddenly interested in the portraits?" One of his brows rose, signalling that whatever she had said now was nothing but a fatal lie

"I am sorry, sir."

He folded his arms, his right hand holding tightly to the gun which was tucked under his left arm, the muzzle pointing to the wall glass. Eva could tell that if he pulled it, then this magnificent office room was going to be slightly damaged but would this man risk it? Wouldn't he fire her and label her as a spy for entering his office?

She could not also say she was here to clear off the footage, else she risked getting a sack letter and being unemployed for the rest of her life. The outgoing secretary had said the company had the power to do so because it had some sort of influences over all the big companies. Would very small companies favour her, hell, no.

However, telling him the reason that she was here meant lengthening her offence. But to think of it, she might be charged with identity theft and trespassing but then he would also be charged with invasion of privacy and unlawful possession of weapons, however, how sure was she that he had no license to wield the weapon?

She didn't want to think about all charges and anything related because she knew she would be the mouse in the game of cat and mouse.

Saverio on the other hand noticed that the new secretary's eyes had been fixed on the edge of the gun, despite him almost hiding it beneath his left arm, so he smirked and unlocked his arms to point the weapon on her forehead.

For some reason, he enjoyed the look of fear in her as he said, "Looks like you are indirectly telling me to get done with you for lying, right?"
