Stifling the urge to cry, Fan Tiffany squared her shoulders and resolved within her to make the wedding work in her favor.
Turning around to look at the hall for a familiar face that would be susceptible enough to fall into her trap, that was when her eyes hit those of Jiu Wei, who waved back at her from where he sat.
"That's brother Wei! He doesn't look bad, although his face is not my style. He'll do for now!"
The group of three friends watched as the bride left where she was, as she gathered the full-length wedding gown raising it high enough for her to walk without tripping down the carpet. She then stopped at a certain pew to speak to someone from there.
"Isn't that considered bad luck for the bride to arrive before the groom?!"
"Aiya! The way I see it, she's doomed! I don't see the groom's family here! Is the wedding going to be held today?!"
Fan Tiffany heard the biting words that some of the guest whispered about her, but she had to swallow the pain that burned like acid in her stomach while facing her kindhearted neighbor who had come through for her numerous times.
"Brother Wei, I hope that one day, you'll find it in you to forgive me!"
