Resistance

Chanaka stood before his students. There were a hundred odd students that stood before him. It was raining outside. " I need you to run around the whole neighbourhood a hundred times," he said

He looked at them like a lion would. His hair standing up like a mane. "I don't care if you drop dead,"

" I don't care if you can't move an inch more. I need you to," he said.

" I need you to completed the 100 rounds," he shouted.

They all stood before him in silence, hiding their terror inside. "What are you waiting for?" he shouted again.

"Run," he commanded.

The students, all 200 of them now ran into the poring heavy rain. There was lightning and thunder. But they ran ahead, braving the storm. Himari, the strongest of them all. Paced himself. He fell behind the crowd. While Hiroto the second strongest of them, was the pack leader. He stormed ahead amidst the lightning and thunder with wolf eyes. The rest of the students dreaded the task ahead of them. Some chose to be in the pack of Hiroto while the others chose to keep their pace with Himari. Many students who wanted to make a mark in their own, ran according to their own accord. By round 30, the pack of Hiroto raced ahead. While the lack of Himari was closely following behind. The rest of the students who ran at their own pace had given up or fallen.

By round 50, only a hundred students remained. Evenly split in the two groups.

The storm got heavier and rain powered down.

Everyone was gasping for their breaths, only Himari and Hiroto kept pace.

Round 75: only 30 students remained. Again evenly split in the two groups. Group of Himari and group of Hinata were very close only. Only 10 meters seperated their group.

Round 100. Only 10'students remained. Evenly split between the two groups. Hinata group finished first by a small distance.

They ran inside the warehouse where Chanaka waited for them. It was almost dawn, as the first light of sun was cracking up.

The eight students tried to their bones stood before Chanaka. Hinata and Himari looked like they still had energy to burn. Sato was in the group of Hinata, but Chanaka could see, his energy was completely drained out.
