Hiro

"This is Hiro," said Kage San.

"Today he hits you and you take the hits," said Kage San.

Chanaka was astounded and shocked.

But he did not utter a word. He was happy that Kage San had taken him as a student.

Hiro stood in front of Chanaka, now.

First he beat him with a staff, then when the staff broke, he beat him with his hands. Chanaka was beaten to a pulp. His eyes were swole and his legs were broken. He then opened his eyes to a delusion. He thought, that Hiro was the perpetrator the crime. Hiro was the one who murdured his sister. He was enraged like a deranged animal. He ran at Hiro, wanting to tear him apart.

Stop! shouted Kenji.

What are you doing! he asked Chanaka.

He had broken the sword he was weilding.

"Go back and sit down," said Master Kenji.

"You are not ready," he said to Chanaka.

Chanaka hesitantly went back and sat.

Master Kenji got to his work and Chanaka dreamt of the little happiness he had.

Little Azuki played in the snow. Chanaka watched his sister play. His sister was the person whom he loved the most in the world.Little Azuki tripped and fell, Chanaka could not even bear it. He went and picked her up in an instant. But he could not stop her from playing. He wanted her to play and at the same time he could not bear the sight of her falling down. Every time he looked at her, there was happiness. And every time he did not see her, it was only sorrow. "Come play with me," said Little Azuki to Chanaka. Chanaka always laughed it off. "You play and I will watch you play," he said to her. "Okay," she smiled and went back to playing.

"What are you smiling about?" asked Kenji. Chanaka's face turned into that of sorrow. "It's nothing," he said. Focus! he said. Chanaka as much as he tried, the laughter of his sister persisted in his mind. Kenji was done with him. Go do something else! he said to Chanak. "You are behaving like a small child," he said. Chanaka walked away. He saw the trees in a different light. He saw the leaves rustled by the wind and it gave him happiness. He marvelled at the world. He was happy, even though it was only for an instant. For once, it felt alright to be alive.
