Chanaka

It was a tough winter in the town where Chanaka lived. He was a mischievous child and always got in trouble with the neighbors. His father often punished him making him do small jobs for him as punishment. But that did not deter him from committing further problems in the neighbourhood. One final day, things had got out of hand and he had to face the wrath of his father. He was beaten by his father, the first time in his life. You will get into a lot of trouble if you follow the same path, his father said. You will be behind bars when you grow up, his father warned. Chanaka laughed it off. Even if I get behind bars I will break it off, he said to his father. He had a lot of grit even in his young age. His eyes grew sharp too his fathers warning, and for a second he even forgot that he was his father. He grew defensive like a wolf and said, even if they out me in chains, I will break it off, he said.

Present day

He tried to break his chains off and tugged it. It shook, and he laughed. The chambers echoed with his sinister laugh scaring off the guards. He tugged it even harder and the whole chamber shook. The guards peeked and looked at him in horror. Chanaka had always underplayed his hands strength. His hands were really strong and arguably as strong as his legs itself.

He looked at the guards and stood still. He stared at them, the same way he had stared at his father when he was a child. Don't worry! he shouted at the guards. These chains are too strong for me, clearly lying. They sighed and went back to their chatter.
