CH35. Get up and take your medicine Ye Xiao Xiao

The manager at the side is holding a glass of water and some pills on a small plate.

"Xiao Xiao, just try and take it. It will reduce the pain," Manager Chen tries begging her.

But she looks away and holds her chest, like she is trying hard to avoid throwing up.

After watching for a while, Lu Min Chen clears his throat and walks forward. "Prepare ginger brown sugar for her," he says.

"Young master!"

"Young Master!"

Both manager Chen and Wang Ting Ting say in unison and rise to their feet. They had not expected him to show up now.

"It is already prepared," Manager Chen uncovers a bowl of steaming hot liquid and shows it to him.

Lu Min Chen holds the bowl and under their gazes, takes a sip of the medicine. 

He places the bowl back on a small basin with cold water to cool it down. It is too hot.

The two people open their eyes wide. Their young master has never tasted anyone's food. Is he really okay today?

"Leave her to me," He says and looks at the two. He is clearly telling them to leave.

The two walk out without uttering any other word. But once outside, they bump into Han Chan.

"Why are you doing at the quotas now Han Chan?" The manager asks.

Han Chan, who has been startled by their sudden appearance stammers. "Um...I wanted to check up on Xiao Xiao," she says and forces a smile. "Can I go in?"

"No," The manager says. "No one is allowed inside there now."

"But..."

"Mcheeew!" Wang Ting Ting sneers. "Is it because you saw the young master in there? He doesn't want anyone to disturb him with Ye Xiao Xiao," she adds rudely.

It has been to everyone's knowledge in the company that Han Chan has been head over heels with the big boss. 

"Nkt!" Han Chan clicks her tongue. She does not have time to argue with her now. She should prevent Lu Min Chen from staying in that room.

But the manager sees her eager eyes and pulls her away. "The boss is not in a good mood. You better not spoil things for all of us. Go back to your duties," she says strictly.

Han Chan looks back regretfully and casts Wang Ting Ting an angry look before walking back with them.

Once the two have left, Lu Min Chen locks the door and looks at the girl on the bed. 

Xiao Xiao tensed up from the moment she realized that the man is in the room. She even pretends to be asleep.

"Get up and take the medicine Ye Xiao Xiao," He says and puts his hands in his pockets.

But after a while, the girl shows no sign of moving. It is only her body that is shaking, both from pain and cold.

Lu Min Chen sighs and moves closer to the bed. He holds her body and pulls her forcefully to a sitting position.
