CH295. What did they want?

Ye Xiao Xiao does not get a very clear view of his face. But she admits that he does not behave like an enemy at all.

The two leave, and Ye Xiao Xiao remains in her trance.

It is only two minutes later that she comes back to her senses when the door is knocked over with a loud bang.

She gets startled that she falls off her seat.

"Xiao Xiao..." Lu Min Chen call and runs towards her, picking her up and hugging her. " Are you okay?"

Ye Xiao Xiao nods her head and hugs him back. It is him. He actually came to save her!

She feels touched that tears fall from her eyes. Even after being that rude to him yesterday, he still came to find her.

"Did they hurt you?" Lu Min Chen asks as he looks at her crying face. "Tell me, what did they do to you?"

Ye Xiao Xiao shakes her head and wipes her tears on his shirt. 

"Where are they?" Lu Min Chen asks as his men look around and outside the room.

"They left," she says and hugs him tightly again.

"Are you hurt anywhere?" Lu Min Chen asks as he puts her back on the chair.

Even despite her shaking her head, he still checks all of her body to ensure that she is fine.

It only when he finds out that she has not been hurt anywhere that he sighs in relief. 

"Are you scared?" He asks and wipes away her tears. 

Ye Xiao Xiao smiles at him with her teary eyes, just like she did to Lin Mo the other day. "I thought you would never come," she says to him in a whisper.

Lu Min Chen hugs her again. "I will always be there for you. Don't ever have those stupid thoughts again," he admonishes her.

"Boss, they are no where," one of his men reports. 

"Let us go," Lu Min Chen says and carries Ye Xiao Xiao in his embrace. "They are so weird."

Once in the car, he looks at Ye Xiao Xiao. "Do you know who they were?"

Ye Xiao Xiao shakes her head. She is sure she has never seen them before.

"And what did they want? They did not hurt you," Lu Min Chen says with creased brows.

Kidnappers usually have an agenda. But these ones did not even call to ask for any random.

Ye Xiao Xiao remembers the two things that that man asked her. But she shakes her head at the first thing.

He said it was dangerous. And Lu Min Chen's grandfather asked her to keep it confidential. She cannot tell him about that.

"I do not know either," Ye Xiao Xiao says to Lu Min Chen. "He just showed me my photo and asked me if I knew the person. I was also confused."

Lu Min Chen pauses for a second. "Your photo? Is it when you were young or for now?"

He remembers about that day he saved her from the orphanage and shudders.
