My mind froze. It wasn't the first time she had kissed me, it wasn't even the first time she had kissed me on the lips. It had been a long time though, and it was the first time she had kissed me on the lips while she wasn't drunk.
Seeing my shocked expression made Karen smile and giggle. She squirmed a bit on my lap as she giggled, the kiss and squirming was more than enough to awaken my libedo which Karen noticed quickly. She leaned back into me and hugged me hard. I returned the hug uncertain of what was going on but I was very interested to see where it could go. I wasn't sure if it was my mental ability or just the fact that I had abilities, but I felt a lot more confident in myself than I had yesterday. All it took was gaining superpowers, go figure.
"Oh what is this?" Karen asked with a laugh as her hand pressed into my stomach.
"Get a room." Megan commented crankily from beside me.
"Not that." Karen laughed. "Seems like Daryl got you those abs you wanted so badly." she told the blonde while caressing my stomach.
"Really?" Megan curiously asked, her voice sounding excited.
Karen scooted back on my lap and lifted my shirt to show the other woman my stomach.
I glanced down too. I didn't have the chiseled abs like bodybuilders, models, or Micheal, but my stomach was now flat and toned, with some work it wouldn't be that hard to get the chiseled abs look.
"Oh, nice." Megan said as she reached over and caressed my stomach just like Karen had.
I admit I was more than willing to allow the two beautiful women to keep caressing my stomach, I even thought about stealing a few kisses and see where things went from there, the consequences be damned, but a flicker out of the corner of my eye drew my attention. The news on the television had shifted to a new scene, the previous one I had watched had been bad enough, one of those monsters tearing into people was more than I wanted to see. The new scene was much worse. For a moment I even wondered if they had shifted over to a horror movie.
Shown on the screen was an outside location, a shopping center. I wasn't sure which one it was, but the place was packed with people. I could recognize several popular stores in the background which would explain the crowds, but the focus of the scene was the monsters. Plural. Each of the horrific scenes before had only one of the monsters appear, they killed and maimed until the police or a bystander packing enough heat was able to put them down, and those were bad enough.
This scene had three of the monsters all gathered together ripping people apart just like the other scenes. The major difference, which was what made my blood run cold, was the way the three interacted. The three monsters didn't seem very bright and were just tearing into anyone who came close to them. Running out into the crowd to kill when no one got close, or tried to shoot them. They weren't even working together, they just stayed close to each other.
It changed though when one of the monsters hit a man with an upward swing of its arm and decapitated its victim. The head sailed through the air to hit one of the other monsters in the side. It paused in its rampage to glance at the head then at the monster who had caused the head to go flying. It picked up the head and threw it back at the offending monster hitting it in the back and gaining its attention. What followed was a grisly game of dodgeball where the monsters used the heads of their victims to throw at each other while each of them seemed to smile and laugh.
Abruptly the screen went black then a news anchor appeared sitting in the studio. I was too numb to hear what the news anchor was saying but my libedo was gone, and I was feeling rather sick.
I pushed Karen off my lap and ran for the bathroom attached to my room, I wasn't going to make it so I dashed towards the kitchen and decorated it with my partially digested meal.
Just as I stood up and wiped my mouth Karen pushed me aside and decorated the sink with the contents of her own stomach. Glancing over I saw Megan was still sitting on the couch but her eyes were closed as she took deep breaths. I was sure she was fighting her own urges to vomit.
Megan seemed to have won the battle with her stomach as she seemed to calm down a bit and even opened her eyes as Karen stood up and wiped her mouth before turning the faucet on to rinse everything down into the garbage disposal. I had to turn the noisy machine on a couple times to clear everything out of the sink then grab a lemon out of the fridge, cut it up and drop it down into the sink to let the garbage disposal cut it up to kill the smell.
"That was…." Karen started then stopped clearly at a loss for words.
I nodded, "Yeah." I said then gave her a hug. When we parted I walked back to the livingroom and gave Megan a hug too. While she didn't puke like Karen and I did, she didn't look any better than we felt.
As soon as I had my arms around her she broke down. I sat back on the couch then pulled her into my lap just like I had Karen. Karen sat beside us, her hand rubbing at Megan's back in an attempt to help sooth her.
While I held Megan I turned my attention back to the television.
"As horrible as the attacks have been, we are happy to report that there have been no new sightings of the monsters known as Twisted, in the last five hours. Government sources have confirmed that the military and various agencies are working to learn more about the twisted, where they came from, and how they appeared in so many different locations around the world without any warning." the news anchor, a very pretty blonde woman, said while looking straight into the camera.
I shook my head and grabbed the remote and turned the television off. "That isn't the last of them is it Enya?" I asked.
"No." Enya replied from the dinner table where she had watched everything quietly. "And before you ask again, I don't know where they come from or when more will appear. I just know that where there are awakened there are twisted."
I sighed then hugged Megan a bit tighter. Her crying had slowed to soft whimpers but she had soaked my shirt again. I didn't worry about that though. Instead I unwrapped an arm from Megan and pulled Karen close giving her a one armed hug. I had powers now, but those twisted were terrifying. I wasn't a fighter, never had been. Though I didn't think the twisted would care about that.
The sound of someone knocking on the door startled us.
Looking towards the door it took me a moment to realize that it was probably the food the girls had ordered. Now that I had calmed down a bit my stomach reminded me that it was now empty.
Megan stood up and hurried to the door to answer it.
Megan sat up, dried her eyes then hurried after Megan leaving me alone on the coach amazed at how quickly she was able to recover. Then the smell of the pizzas she carried into the apartment hit me and I stopped wondering.
Karen followed her in a moment later with another few boxes.
"Hungry?" I asked the girls looking at all the food. The other containers had cheesy bread sticks, barbecue wings, and some kind of dessert sticks covered with cinnamon and sugar with an icing dip to go with it. My own stomach rumbled again reminding me that I myself was hungry so I shouldn't complain.
"Yeah." Megan replied, setting her boxes on the table. "Can the two of you eat?" she asked us.
I nodded as I pulled a pizza box open to reveal the pepperoni pizza inside. I grabbed two slices, folded one over the other then stuffed them into my mouth. The greasy cheese and pepperoni tasted like heaven.
"Don't forget to chew." Karen admonished just before she stuffed half a slice of pizza into her own mouth.
I rolled my eyes then the three of us dug into the food without speaking for several minutes.
Finally full, the three of us leaned back with our stomach distended.
"That wasn't a great idea." Karen groaned as she unbuttoned her jeans so they didn't press into her abdomen.
I chuckled but didn't say anything. I hadn't had pizza in what felt like forever so I wasn't going to complain. That thought reminded me of my diet which led to a thought about Micheal. I was a bit surprised that he hadn't responded to Megan yet, given the time.
Having seen what the twisted could do I was more concerned now so I pulled out my phone to call him myself.
"What's up?" Karen asked me curiously.
"Just giving Micheal a call." I replied then winked at Megan who smiled back at me though she did seem concerned, not that I could blame her.
