Poison

(A/N: I have made some changes in the previous chapter like Freyas strength from First-Rank to Second-rank and the two remaining smugglers rank Fifth.

"WTF!!? She's a Second-Rank warrior," I thought to myself, surprised by the revelation about Freya's strength.

It was no wonder she had such a fierce aura around her, even though she was currently weakened by the poison. (1)

The two remaining smugglers were visibly on edge now, realizing the danger they were in.

"We were just having some fun with this little barbarian, you know. No harm done," Mack said nervously, trying to downplay their actions.

I narrowed my eyes at him. "Fun? I don't see her enjoying it at all. You're just a bunch of cowards taking advantage of someone in a weakened state."

Nick, the man with daggers, glanced at his comrades uneasily, but he seemed to be the most composed of the two. "Look, ki- Sir, we don't want any trouble. We'll let her go, just don't hurt us, alright?"

These guys didn't deserve mercy after what they had done. I couldn't just let them walk away freely.

"I'll make you a deal," I said, trying to sound as intimidating as possible. "Hand over all your valuables, and I might consider sparing your lives. But if you try anything funny, you'll regret it."

They exchanged nervous glances, knowing they had no other option.

Reluctantly, they emptied their pockets and handed over their weapons and valuables.

As I gathered their belongings using my storage ring, I made sure to check for anything they might be hiding.

After checking thoroughly, I looked at Freya, her eyes were full of rage and anger.

I didn't know why but I felt sorry for her, I then turned towards the smugglers.

Just making an eye contact with me, they shivered.

Nick hesitated before asking. "C-can we go now?"

In response, my lips curled up revealing a devilish smile.

[Don't you wanna take revenge?] I used my sound transmission spell.

"Huh...? W-who is this?"

She was a little startled, well it was a normal reaction.

Anyways, I was able to understand her tongue as I had learned barbarians' language out of boredom when I was young.

[Don't panic, It's me your saviour. You can talk to me through your thoughts.] I continued.

Freya's eyes widened with surprise. [You...you... How can you talk in my mind?]

[That's not the point right now. Don't you want to take revenge?] I asked again.

[Yes, I would really love to shred those bastards into pieces.]

Freya greeted her teeth, looking at the smugglers with killing intent. I could feel the fire in her voice.

I smirked at her response, impressed by her determination.

"Alright, let's go then," I said out loud, reassuring her. "I'll leave these guys here to think about their actions."

The smugglers seemed relieved, thinking I were going to let them go. I took a few steps toward a nearby tree, and their faces lit up with hope.

But that hope quickly turned to horror as Freya stepped forward, blocking their path.

Even though Freya was weakened by the poison but still she had the strength of a Fourth-Rank Warrior.

The only reason they were able to capture her would be because of their leader, the armour guy. He was also a Fourth Rank warrior.

"What's going on? Weren't you going to let us go?" Mack stammered, trying to hide his fear.

"Oh, I am," I said with a smirk, "but I never said anything about Freya here."

Their expressions turned from hopeful to panicked as they realized their fate was far from being spared.

"No... you can't do this!" Nick pleaded.

After 10 minutes, the corpses of that two smugglers were on the ground. They were unrecognisable, the blood was splattered everywhere.

The scene in front of me was enough to make me want to vomit. As this was not the scene I was familiar with.

"Huff...puff..."

Freya stood there, her breathing heavy and her hands covered in blood.

The poison had taken its toll on her, but she had still managed to exact her revenge

But now there was also a sense of relief and satisfaction.

Freya turned around, facing me, her cheeks slightly flushed.

In a low but gratitude-filled voice, she said. "T-thank you very ××h for your help."

Even with blood covering half of her body, she still looked beautiful and innocent.

If I hadn't seen, what she did to those two smugglers. I would've thought of her as an innocent woman.

But now that was out of the question.

As the atmosphere grew awkward between us, I tried to start a conversation.

"How did this happen—"

I was trying to ask what happened to her but my words were cut off as she fell down.

"Wait... Are you okay?"

I instantly grabbed her waist, stopping her from falling.

Her face became red and sweat started dropping down her face. Her temperature also rose.

As I looked at her troubled face I used my scan skill. With this skill, I could detect anything inside a person's body through mana flow.

As I scanned through her body, I found two poisons. The first one was 'Soulbane Venom'.

This deadly toxin is known for its insidious effects on a person's spiritual and life force, directly affecting their aura.

Once inflicted, the venom targets the energy channels within the body, causing them to weaken and disrupt the flow of aura.

As a result, the victim's aura becomes unstable and disorganized, leading to various detrimental effects.

But this poison wasn't a problem as it could be healed with heal spell and luckily I was a master at using heal.

The real problem was the second poison called 'Erosia Elixir'.

As its name suggests, A potent and dangerous poison that induces uncontrollable lust in a person.

This poison targets the brain's pleasure decentred floods the victim's mind with overwhelming feelings of desire and arousal.

It takes effect several hours later after taking.

And if the victim doesn't mate with opposite sex in a few hours after the symptoms show effect. They'd die.

"Umm~" Freya let out a moan as she hugged me tightly.

The feeling of her refined muscle was different from Aisha's soft cuddle. But it wasn't bad.

I quickly shook off any inappropriate thoughts that threatened to distract me.

I also used my heal spell to detoxify the other poison before I laid her down.
