Finally the war between Kongming and Theresa ended with a draw, they continued their meal without making any sound at the dinner table.
And no matter what, this is just a meal.
Luo Mo and Kallen wisely kept their heads down, shoveling food like there was no tomorrow, They knew better than to get mixed up in whatever weird rivalry those two had going on.
Besides, it looked like Kongming and Theresa were just having a little passive-aggressive spat, Getting Schicksal involved would be like calling in an airstrike for a playground squabble.
The rest of them ate in silence, occasionally sneaking peeks at the not-so-subtle battle of wills unfolding across the table.
Kongming was laying down the challenge, and Theresa, bless her stubborn little heart, was determined to rise to the bait.
Of course, her current tactic seemed to be ignoring Kongming's existence entirely.
Classic Theresa. Well, if this was a battle of wills, there was no way she'd lose by default!
Whoever this Kongming woman was, she was sharp...too sharp, It was almost like she could read Theresa's mind.
And okay, maybe the thought of handing over all the school responsibilities to a mysterious stranger was kind of tempting... But no! She was Theresa Apocalypse, and she wouldn't be outwitted so easily!
Theresa's face burned. How could she even think about ditching her responsibilities at the academy? What would grandma say? Besides, she had her pride! She might be small, but she was mighty.
(It's okay Theresa, you can keep your academy, your grandmother will make Kongming her successor)
Theresa stubbornly focused on her food, but she could feel Kongming's smug gaze from across the table. Okay, so maybe the only challenge she could win right now was an eating contest...
"Maybe I'll throw a huge feast for everyone tomorrow," Theresa thought with a spark of mischief.
After all, this Kongming woman could cook, right? Wouldn't it be absolutely Good to serve a whole banquet of bitter melon dishes? Although...maybe that was a bit too much.
Then again, a food fight sounded like a perfectly chaotic way to establish dominance...
"How about I treat everyone to a little concert?" Theresa blurted out. "Okay, maybe I'm not exactly a virtuoso...and maybe those lessons Grandma insisted on didn't quite sink in..." She mentally scrambled to think of a song she could possibly pull off.
Uh oh. The only one that came to mind was "Foolish Everywhere"
... Ah, let's forget it, it's over, it's over, let's say goodbye.
Theresa fully felt the embarrassment at this time, and she just wanted to find a place to get down.
Thinking about it carefully, as long as all the food on the table is finished, it seems that the banquet will be over.
As for this, you can still do it if you work hard.
Kongming kept trying to poke and prod – a compliment here, a sly question there – but Theresa stubbornly refused to look up from her plate, There was no sign of showing up at all.
She couldn't help but grit her teeth secretly.
What's going on with the other side, they just run away after winning?
Even if you don't agree with what I said, why don't you say something else?
But after all, I am just a guest now, so I can't do too much. Now I am actually being aggressive. Even Mr. Assassin on the side has a somewhat reproachful look in his eyes...
( Luo Mo/Mr. Assassin: Go ahead, I want to see if Theresa can carve out three bedrooms and one living room, so that the villa can be expanded for free )
With a huff, Kongming finally sat down and forced herself to enjoy the meal.
Honestly, the food was delicious, but that stubborn little Theresa was still ruining her appetite!
The more Kongming thought about it, the more irritated she became. This girl was seriously getting in the way of her plans!
...
The awkward meal finally wound down, the plates cleared.
Of course, what we should talk about is business matters.
" Let's talk about Kongming first. She is your friend, but there seems to be no room around her... Do you two want to live in the same room? "
Kallen asked with great interest, thinking that the other party(Luo Mo) liked Theresa,
Everyone whispered about Luo Mo having a thing for Theresa, but she hadn't seen any real sparks flying! From what she heard (mostly gossip from Kiana), Luo Mo and Theresa had a super confusing relationship.
He loved to tease her until she turned red and smacked him around (if she could catch him, that is).
Some say her granddaughter is a 'tsundere' but this grandmother doesn't understand young people's slang but seems like a 'shy cat'?
It was hard to tell if Theresa actually hated Luo Mo's playful antics or if it was just her weird way of flirting back.
Honestly, at Theresa's age, a woman should know what she wants! Kallen wasn't sure if her granddaughter was too old-fashioned or too immature to admit her feelings openly.
Maybe a therapist could crack this puzzle...
Okay, maybe this wasn't just about Theresa and her confusing moods.
Could Luo Mo be the problem here? Did he actually want a serious relationship, or was he just messing around? And what on earth was with him bringing home all these women who looked like Theresa? Did the man seriously have a thing for her?
...Or maybe, just maybe, he shared Rita's obsession with all things 'Lolita'?
Wait, was there even a section about that in the Schicksal Penal Code? How did Someone even get punish for Liking vampires and nobles lady from other worlds anyway?
And most importantly, how does one legally define a 'loli'? By age? Appearance?
Kallen said she could change the law(in the land of Schicksal) depending on the situation, She the Rule!
"Well, if there's truly no other solution, I suppose it can't be helped," Kongming said smoothly.
The question was – did she genuinely not care, or was this all part of her plan? After all, from the start, Luo Mo was her only real option.
And with the living arrangements settled, plus the fact that they were both conveniently single, why not seal the deal? A strategic marriage would be a decisive early victory! Even if Mr. Assassin decided to collect a few more admirers down the line, Kongming would still rule as empress. They'd all have to answer to her!
Okay, sure, she wouldn't mind taking care of her future husband if he ended up tragically incapable of, well, anything.
Honestly, even a completely helpless Mr. Assassin wouldn't faze her. Of course, that harem business would need to be strictly regulated...
Luo Mo felt a sudden chill run down his spine.
Something didn't feel right.
Was there a hidden danger lurking nearby? Hang on, his biggest threats right now were probably his overworked employees, right? He'd faced down Kevin without a flinch, so what could possibly be making him nervous?
"Luna mentioned a spare room on the second floor," Kongming offered smoothly."
"You want to live here? In my house?" Theresa squeaked. Was she going to be haunted by this woman even in the safety of her own villa? "Grandma, maybe it's time for our strategic retreat! There's no shame in running from a superior force!"
Theresa's face burned hotter than a campfire marshmallow. While her grandmother was visiting, kicking Luo Mo out was practically impossible.
"Absolutely no sharing Luo Mo's room, though," Theresa blurted out. "That would be...inappropriate."
Theresa might be a powerful Valkyrie, but when it came to relationships, she was as green as a fresh sprout. Her knowledge of romance mostly came from those silly comics she kept hidden under her bed.
on the other hand, kongming stared at Theresa with great interest. It seemed that it would not be difficult for her to deal with her.
Kongming, on the other hand, watched Theresa with amusement. This girl looked like a simple problem to solve. Theresa didn't seem bothered by Kongming's interest in Luo Mo; she was more upset about being backed into a corner.
——This is easier to handle and can be given up.
Who would pick up the sesame seeds and throw away the watermelon?
As long as she lets her live in, can the rest be forgotten?
Sitting up straight with an air of importance, Kongming made "let's make a deal" gestures – a raised eyebrow, a subtle nod. Behind her feather fan, a mischievous grin spread.
Something told her this was going to be easy...
Theresa's face transformed from worry to wide-eyed surprise. "Really?" she whispered, eyes sparkling.
Kongming simply smiled and nodded.
" Okay, grandma, I'll let someone tidy up that room. Well, let's stay here for Kongming! "
Theresa patted her chest and accepted the matter.
Luna blinked in confusion. "But Sister Theresa! What about the spare room?" Looks like someone had been outmaneuvered at their own game.
Luna's mind whirled. Humans get their wishes granted, don't they? Then surely the least Luo Mo deserved was for this newcomer to NOT end up sharing his room. So, find another room, simple! Except... apparently not.
She pursed her lips, feeling strongly betrayed, and looked at this scene in disbelief.
"What's the matter, Luna?" Theresa asked, tilting her head with a hint of impatience. Honestly, wasn't this obvious? Kongming now knew about the spare room; problem solved!
"It's...nothing." Luna forced the words out. Ugh, hadn't she been the one to blab about the extra room in the first place? She was her own worst enemy!
"Haha - easy " Kongming declared, acting as if she'd just moved a tiny pebble and resolved a whole living situation.
Of course, this was exactly her style, Luo Mo couldn't help but be impressed at how smoothly everything had fallen into place.
"It's all under control."
Kongming blinked at Luo Mo, and a smile appeared on her face.
" Well, when the time comes, I'll just ask Vill-V next door to do it. She's very professional! "
Luo Mo said to Kallen.
