Chapter twenty three

Stella walked away from Brian's door, her mouth agape and her legs wobbly. Did she hear right, was this a game or was Brian really intending to harm the boss and the person he loves. And who was that he was chatting with on the phone.

She couldn't believe what was happening, she walked away faster and straightened. Not wanting anyone to know about anything that had happened.

She knew what she had to do.

She wasn't going to let anyone arm her Boss or the one he loves. She will make sure she ruin their plan both for Brian and the person on the phone. She'll ruin their lives as well.

Marcus got back to work still not in a very good mood, though a bit relieved that he had settled things with Sophie. He was furious as to who had been following his woman around trying to harm her. Sophie was his woman and nothing anyone could do to change that.

He was going to protect her at all cost and make sure no harm come to her. Then next he'll find out who's behind the pictures.

He took the telephone and called for Brian.

When Brian came in, he gave him the phone number that had sent him the pictures.

"Trace the number and tell me who it's from"

He said.

"Ok sir" Brian said giving him a small smile.

Weird. Marcus thought.

As he was about to walk out, Stella walked in and snatched the book where the number was written from his hand.

"Sir. I think Brian is a little too busy to do this kinds of things, and I think you've forgotten but am perfect with these kinds of things" she said smiling at them both.

"Uhmnn?" Brian muttered confused

Even Marcus was also confused.

"Let me work on this sir, I'll get back to you" she said and walked out.

Brian stared at her as she left and looked back at Marcus who shrugged.

"You can get back to work, thank you"

Brian walked out and went into his office. He was furious, he was angry, he was so angered that he slammed his fist on his table.

"Damn it! Damn you Stella. Who the hell do you think you are?" He sat down thinking

Why did she have to come now. Everything was going just has planned and she all but ruin his first plan to tarnish Marcus reputation.

He sure will get back at her.

Sophie stared at the bunch of pretty red roses that had been delivered to her not long after Marcus left. She knew it was from him, and when she read the card it stated, 'Will you go out with me tonight?'

"Of course I will" She said to herself sniffing the roses. They smelt delicious and Rosy. Making her wamt to kiss Marcus.

She dropped the flowers on the table and went back to the kitchen to continue preparing her lunch.

Camille was in the sitting room, watching a cartoon program and waiting for lunch to be ready.

After she was done, she served the table and they both ate.

Though she was happy, she couldn't deny the fact that she was still angry and quiet scared about the pictures that Marcus had received. So there was someone out there who wasn't happy with the new relationship she was building with Marcus and wanted them to depart.

Whoever it was, she was bent on finding out, and she wished the person would face her instead of going behind her back and taking her picture secretly.
