Shadows of Remorse and the Search for Balance

As Kai absorbed the artifact, his faceless master vanished into thin air, and he knew he had become the most powerful being alive. He returned to his home, eager to explain the whole story to his family. However, fate had other plans. As he entered the city of Hong Kong, he was taken aback by the changes - everything seemed unfamiliar, and the people in his community were not the ones he recognized. Rushing back home, Kai found his house empty, and panic started to set in. His sister was nowhere to be found, and his mother was missing as well.

In desperation, Kai heard a faint voice calling his name from one of the rooms. He rushed to the source and discovered his father lying on the floor, covered in blood and dying. He wanted to use his dark magic to heal his father, but his dad stopped him and mustered the last of his strength to speak. "I want to tell you three things," his father said with a weak voice. Kai listened intently, anxious to hear what his father had to say.

"First, you'll be drowned in darkness the more you don't balance this essence," his father warned. Confused, Kai asked how to achieve balance. Despite the darkened state of his heart, he felt remorse seeing his father dying before him.

"Find the second artifact with light within. The yang of your yin. It will balance and cleanse your heart," his father revealed. "Where can I find it?" Kai inquired. "I don't know, but you'll need to pass certain tests, which I'm unaware of," his father replied.

His father continued, "Your mom and sis are in the hands of the monks from the village. Kai's anger surged, and he asked, "Why?".Before his father could answer, he took his last breath and passed away right before Kai's eyes.

Kai's heart was filled with sorrow, and tears streamed down his face, causing rain to fall as he unconsciously controlled the water element. He buried his father and spent days consumed by remorse. Now, Kai's thoughts were in turmoil. He didn't know where to start, and he worried about the well-being of his mother and sister. In a sudden surge of anger and determination, Kai set out on an endless journey - to save his mother and rescue his sister, avenge his father, and find the artifact of balance, the yang, that could wash away the darkness within him.
