53 Lucky to meet him

Mu Yuexin was brought to the Li family by Li Feng and the man did not pay heed to her protest against coming here. 

However after she had entered she saw Mother Li's face which darkened upon her arrival. She nodded at her and ran to Li Yi's room. 

Ru Mu chuckled at her running figure and went beside Mother Li, "Look, Madam. I was correct. She was arrogant and ungrateful!" 

"I never realized deep down she was like this." Mother Li was dissatisfied by Mu Yuexin's disobedience. 

However Mu Yuexin again shattered her assumption of herself when she took her things in her suitcase and walked down the stairs. 

She looked at Ru Mu who was taking something to the second floor and said, "I am leaving. When Li Yi comes, tell her I have taken away my stuff."

"You…" Ru Mu couldn't finish her words as Mu Yuexin left the villa. 

She looked at the watch and murmured, "It's already past 6 pm. The working hours for the company have already ended." 

Thus she texted Wo Lin and got his address. After arriving at his apartment, she was stunned to see the proper, cleaned appearance of the apartment. 

Wo Lin chuckled and said, "You did not expect it, did you?" 

"Yeah. Usually, men would have messy rooms..." Mu Yuexin stopped at once when she voiced out her thoughts and hid her face in embarrassment. 

But Wo Lin laughed it away and said, "I have a caretaker coming everyday during my working time. If not you would not have become disappointed."

"Having a caretaker is good too." Mu Yuexin nodded. "Wo Lin, I will go to a rental agency to find a suitable place. I need to check in some of them."

"Alright, I will accompany you." He said as he made himself busy in the open kitchen. 

"Will you come with me? That's not necessary." Mu Yuexin tried not to burden him further but the man only smiled in return. 

She was glad he didn't ask anything about her absence. She went ahead to give him a helping hand. 

After an hour, both of them placed two plates of noodles and sat down to eat. Wo Lin asked during that time, "What kind of place do you like?" 

"Umm… from where I can see the whole city!" Mu Yuexin replied cheerfully while stuffing her mouth with noodles.

Wo Lin smiled, "You can see the whole city from this building's terrace too."

"Yeah. I was surprised at first. I don't think anyone with your salary could afford it." Mu Yuexin said truthfully. 

"You are correct in some way. All thanks to my parents. They are the landlord of this building!" 

"Pfft!" Mu Yuexin spat out the cola she was drinking and said incredibly, "Don't tell me, they live with you!"

"Don't fret! They won't come here. They had gone on a world tour. Pretty rich, unlike me." Wo Lin stifled his laugh as he handed Mu Yuexin a tissue. 

"I am not fretting. Just that I don't want them to mistake me as your girlfriend." Mu Yuexin said as she wiped the wet table instead. 

"Girlfriend?... Don't mention it." Wo Lin shook his head. "I have had my fair share of terrible experiences. Not going to have one unless… "

Wo Lin stopped when he noticed Mu Yuexin's full concentration on him. He thought it would not be a good thing to expose his preferences. 

"You little girl, finish your food and go to bed." 

"But you didn't finish after 'unless'!" Mu Yuexin pouted but Wo Lin became adamant not to spill any beans further and thus she had to shut up.

"Yuexin, will you become my roommate? My parents won't return in six to eight months." Wo Lin asked as he snatched her plates to do dishes. 

Mu Yuexin shook her head, "No, it's not appropriate."

"Alright. I just thought it would be better to have a roommate. Living alone is not as amazing as people say…" Wo Lin didn't add further. Mu Yuexin saw him doing the dishes and didn't find any work to do. 

"I am going to sleep. Good night." Mu Yuexin said while standing at her room's doorstep.

"Good night." Wo Lin looked at her and smiled.

Mu Yuexin jumped on her bed and opened the windows. Watching part of the city from her window was not as pleasant as watching the whole city but when she toned on an emotional music, the place felt oddly peaceful.

"I wish I could live in a place like this. One day, I will turn it into reality!" Mu Yuexin cheered herself up!

Next day. 

Knock! Knock!

"Enter." Ethan gave permission to whoever wanted to come in. 

Under the watchful eyes of other employees, Mu Yuexin peeked in the general manager's office and saw he was not at his desk, rather on the sofa which faced the glass wall. 

"Good morning, sir." Mu Yuexin spoke in a low voice as she entered.

The man was staring at the distance without moving and did not give her any response. Mu Yuexin sensed the gloomy atmosphere and tried not to disturb him.

She intended to return to her desk but when she turned towards its position, she widened her eyes. 

"My desk, where is it?!" She exclaimed. 

Ethan Han watched her stunned expression. He snickered and went to his desk. 

He threw an envelope at Mu Yuexin's face, "Mu Yuexin, you are fired!" 

Mu Yuexin was flustered but she could guess why he would do this. She had been missing for three days and didn't notify anyone about the reason for her absence. 

She was supposed to be his assistant!

'Crap! I even forgot to report to Secretary Fan!' Mu Yuexin finally remembered she forgot many important things like reporting Ethan and Han Fan, calling Li Yi back because when she turned on her phone, she saw 20 missed calls and last but not least a call from the orphanage.

"But, sir, you can't dismiss me when I have had a serious condition!" Mu Yuexin said as she took out her medical reports from her purse.

she smiled forcefully as she stated, "I had an accident ..."

Mu Yuexin stared at the door of the general manager's office and couldn't believe she would still be told to get out after she showed him the medical report. 

The man tore her report into pieces and threw it at her, he didn't even bother to take a look!

'Oh no oh no! How am I supposed to spy on him like this?!' Mu Yuexin panicked but didn't have the courage to enter after his outburst.

She did not get to see his eyes but she was sure that he was glaring at her with suppressed anger. 

'His reaction… it's too much!' Mu Yuexin thought. 

The days she spent as his assistant she didn't get to do any real job and when she was missing, he showed such emotions as if she owed him money?!

Mu Yuexin swiftly turned around and walked out from the HR department in anger. 

Right after she left a certain someone walked out from the general manager's office and upon watching the missing woman he turned angrier. 

"Wo Lin, make me coffee!"

"Yes!"

Ethan Han closed the glass door right after but his anger caused him to become unstable. Many cracks appeared on the glass because of him closing with sheer force. 

When Wo Lin came to deliver his coffee, he found the crack in the middle of the door. He found it strange. Still he delivered the coffee and slipped away

At the terrace of the Han Corporation, Mu Yuexin sat on a stool and under the shade of a big umbrella, she wrote a report.

Man made desert, it has forest at one point. 

He went there with his people. I couldn't follow him from the desert.

After reporting, Mu Yuexin sighed. 'I can't tell him about my incident.'

When Han Fan got the message, he frowned. Even though the amount of money she had stated wasn't too much in his eyes, compared to the information he got, it was ripped off. 

'That's why I can't believe in woman. A thing can't be done properly.' He thought but still transferred the money in her account.

Mu Yuexin felt gentleness coming from the words send by him and she didn't expect this because she also knew the things she had provided him worth less than zero.

'Secretary Fan is such a good person. I am lucky to have met him.' Mu Yuexin smiled and hugged her phone as she looked straight ahead.
