25 Denial

The three of them exchanged glances and without mentioning a single word, they dashed towards their broken car. After getting inside, Li Feng locked the car doors in case those Panthers return!

However Li Yi looked at the way where the Panthers had left just now. She had an odd feeling about this whole thing. After a while a black van bypassed them and Li Yi saw a pair of curious eyes staring at their car.

Li Yi frowned and her eyes fell on the black van's number plate.

'Those were not wild panthers.' About this, she was sure or else they would have been more seriously injured.

When they went back to the Li family home all the three of them were wrapped in long cloaks. Mother Li was taken aback when she saw these suspicious people entering the building.

Instantly she stood up from the sofa and shouted at them, "Who are you?! Who let you in?!"

All the three of them stiffened and stopped in their places as they were trying to sneak to the second floor. While Mother Li was walking towards them in her usual graceful manner with a frown on her forehead, Li Yi didn't wait to get busted.

'How could I let her see me in this appearance?!' Li Yi thought with a stifled heart.

She dashed ahead at full speed and in less than 5 seconds she reached the second floor. Mother Li was stunned as she saw the other two following the first figure.

She didn't need to be told anymore by anyone that the two of them were her children. Just from the walking posture and running, she could recognise them.

"Why are they like this?! Playing hooligans?!" Mother Li murmured in wonder and guessed something.

'Did Yiyi make some troubles outside, again?!'

This thought crossed Mother Li's mind. She marveled at what might have happened in this windy and chaotic night and walked to the second floor with concern.

However despite knocking on their doors none of them open the doors for her. Mother Li didn't knock for long and finally came back to the first floor.

She went to the entrance and asked the guards, "Who drove them inside?"

"A taxi." A guard replied.

Mother Li was surprised. Her precious children had never used those kinds of lowly vehicles so what could have gone wrong?!

After all of them took long showers to remove filth, they hid under their blankets in their respective rooms. Li Feng shivered as he gently applied ointment to the scratches.

Even though those were not deep, he was worried as a thought flashed in his mind, "Do I have to take any kind of vaccine?! Troublesome!"

Knock! Knock!

Li Feng jolted out from his thoughts and shouted at the door, "Ma, I am busy!"

"Feng, it's me." Li Yi shouted from the other end. Li Feng did not want to open the door and let the other person see his wounds, moreover knowing her behaviour was to exaggerate things, he was more against the idea to open the door.

"Even if it is you, the door won't open." Li Feng spoke loudly.

The room became quiet gradually as Li Yi no longer knocked. With peace of mind, Li Feng gritted his teeth and began to apply healing cream on his chest.

Knock!

After a long time had passed he heard another knock.

"Don't disturb me." Li Feng shouted in irritation.

Knock! Knock!

"Damn Yiyi!" Li Feng felt that she was doing that on purpose. However a gentle voice came in the next moment. Mu Yuexin who didn't hear him clearly because of the closed door and good sound blocking, said a little louder, "Li Feng, I have brought chicken soup for you."

After drenching in the untimely rain it was necessary to drink hot stuff not to get sick, not to say after the things they went through and the man had been injured as well.

Hearing Mu Yuexin's sweet and considerate voice, Li Feng rushed to the door and opened it. Upon watching her in pajamas, his whole body stiffened.

Even though the pajama she was wearing was conservative, in Li Feng's eyes, it was a candy and too much to handle for him.

On the other hand Mu Yuexin's eyes widened when she saw the man without any shirt. She looked down at the soup and whispered, "Li Feng, take it."

She gently handed him a tray and hurriedly went back to Li Yi's bedroom. Noticing her blushing, Li Yi squinted her eyes and asked sharply, "You like that fool?"

"Ah?!" Mu Yuexin was startled by her abrupt questioning. After understanding her question, she shook her head hurriedly, "How can I? He's your brother!"

"That's why I am asking if you like him. I can help you…" Li Yi said and dragged Mu Yuexin to sit beside her. As she saw Mu Yuexin shaking her head, she added, "Really?"

"Yes, I don't like him… ah, I mean I don't like him romantically. Your brother is like my brother, Li Yi! I don't do incest!" Mu Yuexin said firmly. Even if she would get the chance to marry a rich man, she would not!

A matching background was necessary and she preferred an orphan just like herself!

'Love? I can live without it!' Mu Yuexin nodded her head while thinking. Li Yi smirked as she grabbed her hand and said excitedly, "It's good that you don't like him! I was worried that I was an obstacle in your love life!"
