DRAGON BOX

I was at the end of finishing my work and it was almost sunset. I was completely worn out as I got only two pieces of bread at noon. They werent allowed to give me more food and I am sure that Qihe must have given them orders. Who can go against him when every single move here is being recorded?

"Lets do that room too." Jihyoon said walking to a room.

"Is it the last room for the day?" I asked as my body was almost giving up.

"Yes, for now." He answered opening the big door.

The door was guarded by two men which means the room is really important to them. I walked behind Jihyoon with head hung low. I was losing my control as I passed those men, their hot blood flowing through the veins. I stopped breathing as I walked in and closing the door behind.

"Why did you lock?"

"I dont want to work when those men are watching." I replied bluntly even though, it doesnt make any sense.

I kept the mop and bucket down in the corner while taking the brush to dust the table. The room definitely have those creepy vibes which we see in ghost movies. Honestly when I was with my clan, we had these kind of rooms to lock the humans.

"Isnt this the room, you were locked yesterday?" Jihyoon asked catching me off guard.

"What? Is it?" I dont remember it as I was literally not in my state of mind last day.

"You must have freaked out a lot." He chuckled and continued his work.

I closed my eyes as strange visions suddenly flashed in front of my eyes. The pain, the shouts and insults..the choking.. it became clearer and clearer that unintentionally I screamed.

"Hey, whats wrong?" Jihyoon caught me before I fell down.

"My head...it hurts." I cried forgetting the fact that he already touched me.

"Oh God! You are freezing. We need to see doctor." He said picking me up bridal style.

"No..no. I am f-fine. Let me rest for some time." I let myself free from his hold.

"But you dont seem fine. Master will be really mad if he finds out you are sick."

"Why would he care? He have kept me here to torture and kill me ." I was mad at the fact that Qihe is being scared by everyone.

"Its his call and we cannot go against him. Please co operate."

"I said that I am fine. Leave me alone for some time."

Jihyoon must have felt strange about me because he immediately left without questioning me more. That was a relief. I was now sitting by the bed on the cold floor with my knees pressed to chest. I wish, I could cry but even tears seem to have left my side.

"Blood. I need it to cover up my human emotions."

The longest I go without having blood in my system, the more chances for my human side to show up. The side which is extremely bad in controlling the situation, the side which makes me sick to the stomach. I had only option and that was to kill anyone without being noticed.

I looked around to see no camera in the room.

"Why isnt there a camera in this room? The room seemed important as it was guarded and more over I was locked here."

This is the hostages dungeon for sure and the fact that it didnt have any camera freaked me out. If no camera, then bigger traps are here. I walked to the door and kept my ears pressing the wooden door to figure if they were still there.

I wondered if they would even breath because it was dead silence except for their slow heart beat. Qihe must have trained them so hard to be emotionally dead. I was about to open the door when something caught my eyes. A flower vase with dragon carvings placed on the study table.

"Why does it look similar?"

I picked the vase up and it was heavier than I thought. The chinese dragon, spitting fire...and it indeed is an ancient sculpture. I felt as if I have witnessed the scene by myself but that doesnt make any sense. I was too immersed in the art work when something ignited my thoughts. The dragon box which was under the bed, last day.

I placed the vase back in the table and walked to the bed. I looked around to make sure there was no camera and yes, there wasnt. I kneeled down and lifted the sheets up. It was dark under the bed and thats when I felt relieved being a vampire. The box was still in there and I stretched my hands to maximum but couldnt reach the box.

"Ugghh." I cursed under my breath.

"Why is everything against me."

The only option left in front of me was to lift the huge ass bed in front of me and thats what I exactly did. I lifted the bed and moved it to the side, a little. I finally could reach the box. The metallic box was rusted but the dragon in it was visible clearly as if the person who made it wanted it to be seen in the future.

"Why does he have all these here?"

I tried my best to open the box without breaking it but the task was impossible. I was left with just two options and those were either to break the box and check whats inside or leave it be. Breaking the box would definitely be a stupid idea because Qihe will kill me. If I dont break it, then I wouldnt know the meaning behind it.

I was taken aback when the door flung open revealing Jihyoon and the senior maid. I hid the box behind me and smiled at them. They obviously noticed that the bed had moved from the orginal position. The maid went to the bed and stared at it as if a ghost would pop out while Jihyoon walked to me.

"Are you feeling better?"

"Yes, I am." I answered trying to focus.

"Who moved the bed?" the maid asked making me stutter.

"I-I was just cleaning the flo-floor beneath the bed."

"How did you move it?" She asked trying to put the bed back to the place.

"I-I just pu-pushed it." I am literally the worst liar ever.

"It took six men to shift the bed here." She gave me a questionable look.
