Winter froze on the spot when she saw the sharp knife aimed at her chest. But before the tip touched her chest, a strong hand quickly held Cindy's wrist and dislocated her wrist on the spot.
Crack!
"Ack!" Cindy was forced to drop the knife immediately before she could do any harm. She quickly lost her balance as she was enduring so much pain in her wrist, but the man behind her lifted her effortlessly and asked Winter.
"Are you alright, Madam?"
It took a few more seconds for Winter and Gina to process what happened just now. Winter paled instantly and she quickly got up from the chair and drew near her mother to distance herself from Cindy.
"What's wrong with you, Cindy?!" Gina yelled. "Oh God, you almost killed your sister!"
Cindy knew that she had already blown her chance. So she didn't even try to hide her hostility anymore.
