Exactly three months had passed since the visit to see the Judge had come and gone, and it was time for Kate to face the music.

"All rise. Court is now in session. May the defendants rise"

Kate stood with her lawyer Kayode beside her. And to her right, on the other side of the court was Caleb, the lawyer who stood in as Henry's representative. He was dressed smartly in his official attire, looking grim, ready to close this case with a win on his side.

"Your Honor, the deceased has no family representatives present today, as his wife is yet to be contacted. His parents are still alive, but not in the country. They are unable to fly back at the moment." Caleb mentioned openly to the court before the hearings began.

The court rows were filled to the brim, as the relatives of Kate were present, including Ireti and her maid Cynthia, Sandra, Nkechi, the Doctor, Mac who had come to watch his friend Caleb, and the wives of Mac and Caleb who were present to support their husbands.
