The arena

On the screen appeared a face of a man dressed in full black angel wings spreading from his back. One of his wings were black and one of them was white. Some feathers fell from his wings. one even fell from the screen. One of the people surrounding the screen reached out toards it and then. Disintegrated. Some screams were heard and some laughs were heard but everyone stepped away from the screen.

I felt tempted to also do it see if the same effect would effect me. But I decided against it and then stepped back to. I quickly saw 2 people step to the front and touch the feather and also disintegrate. As they dissapeared 2 of the houses also faded away. The same fate befell them as the first human who stepped close and touched it.

The face which had appeared on the screen started talking: ''Hello and welcome to your first day here. On this day we will be enjoying something known as a special event. Today will be a bueatifull bloodshed. People shall be killed with the touch of a knife or a stick who knows. There will be a battle between 2 people in sets of 10. If you die you die. If you win you will get a dice of a random variety. In these arena's.'' As he said these last words arena's came from the ground up 10 to be exact. every arena was like a very big boxing ring. around 100 by 100 meters.

''The first 20 people will be transported into the arena's. They will fight to the death or if you want to rid yourself of all of this pain just say I give up. Everyone around you can watch this if you want or cower in a corner like the coward you are.'' As he finished peaking I noticed that some people vanished and then appeared in the arena.

I looked at the closest match and it looked like a total snooze fest. There was a small child being beaten up by a grown adult. The grown adult even seemed to be enjoying it. I mean I would have to so I am not judging. I saw the man be teleported out of the arena right next to me, a sadistic grin on his otherwise normal face.

I saw 2 others be beamed up and stand afont each other. and then charge but it was nothing special so I walked over to the next one which was even more boring then the previous as there were 2 fighters basically just trying to kill each other but failing every time.

The next one was not like the others, the fighting intense. They were both at eachothers neck. Some of the attacks could have been more close to cutting of the neck of the opponent. I felt a sudden rush flood through my body. I wanted to fight them and slaugther them. It dissapeared not now nor ever until I got to fight one of them. The one charged I looked at him focussing on where the opponent was attacking. I noticed it was not his weakpoint but the other side. more near one of his strong points if I had to guess.

I looked dissapointed. If not for this slip up he would have won. At least this is what I expect. I was looking foreward to this. But I could not see the end for I was teleported to the arena too. The look of admiration turned to one of irritation. I thought nothing just pure rage befell my body. I had wanted to see how this would end, I didnt want this to end yet.

He looked upon me and charged in and instant. I braced myself and charged foreward to. I looked at him and activated the acitve part of Ascendant Enhanced Dexterity and speed increasing my speed by .1 for every second it would be active. I noticed it activate immediatly. I felt the speed of my being increase. I noticed I was way faster then him outrunning him without even trying. This must have been the effect of the original 3 times speed and then also the 0.1 increase every second. I ran to the corner of the arena and ran to the other side there after. It took but a measly half a second. I was fast as hell.

I did notice while looking at him that he must have atleast a bit of a higher strength score then me. As he had less weakpoints near his muscles and more near his tendons and stuff. As I was thinking this I saw him conjure something in his hand. It was a fireball. As soon as he threw it at me I noticed the fireball was faster than me so I rolled to the side and decided running away would not be any fun. I noticed my speed was even higher than previously. Even if it was by a small margin. I think I could now just barely outrun the fireball. I slowed down time with the calculative killer buff and noticed everything including me was moving at half the speed. It was incredible. I could not have explained the feeling I felt but I knew it was very gratifying.

As I entered within 10 meters of him I activated my mind domain. I felt my power grow to a whole new level. I was twice as strong as before. Time became even slower and I became even faster. twice as fast. My speed and dexterity were still increasing every second. I charged further. I stood afront him in less than a second in my time. So it would have been less than a quarter of a second for him. I must have looked like I was teleporting afront him. My speed had become unparralleled infront of him and probably infront of all at this level. I pulled out my dagger from my inventory and equiped it and stabbed him exactly in one of his weak points the digastric anterior belly muscle. He opened his mouth slowely and I noticed my blade sticking through his toung and piercing into one of his teath.

His body fell to the ground. I noticed that I was about to be teleported and ducked down and pulled out his left ring finger which was notified as the part I could steal the powers from. I then got teleported out.

As I went out I noticed That some were still fighting but most of the fighting was over one of the arena's was even empty already. I noticed that some people were even walking toards their home or looking at the dice they had recieved. I also got one. I rolled it on the floor as I took a bite of the tender finger I had recieved. I looked at the status screen as I licked my fingers dry and noticed I had gained the skill. *Mana reflux (passive) all skills that cost mana only cost half now.* and a stat point for mana and next to even that was small box which told me I had gained 4 exp.

I looked at the dice and it showed me I had roled a armor dice 64 which is a very rare item.

*You have been granted the item known as the boots of unbreakability. once per 4 days you cover yourself with a shield which will dissapear after taking 3 attacks. If you dont take any attacks you will keep it until 4 days are up. You will also be able to make the boots look like anytype of boots you like*
