Chapter 4: The Suitor

Tyler Virtanen's POV

But that, of course, was hard on its own. I don't know why I even bother to go with this idiotic plan of mine to find this Kelly and get to know her. This Husband Hunt was exhausting, let me tell you. It tested on your physique, intelligence, and all the other things that needed to be tested to make sure that the husband of the Finnish princess was a worthy one.

Not that I care but whatever.

"How come I ever thought that I would see her again? She might not be working here after all," I mumbled before I was looking at the room that I will be staying for the competition. There were two double-decker beds. I took the one that was on top.

"Hello, is this the room for—oops never mind. I am in the right place," the young man said as he was taking the lower bunk that was below me. I was arching my eyebrow before he was smiling at me.

"Eddy Dobulski, nice to meet you," he said as he was extending his hand. I took it before I was shaking his hand as well.

"Tyler Virtanen," I said before Eddy was arranging his stuff.

"So, you're ready to get the princess?" I asked him as he was shrugging at me. Well, that's a weird thing for him to do as I was sure that everyone was exciting with the prospect of marrying into royalty.

"Not everyone wants to be royalty," he mumbled but I heard it. Then, I chuckled. He was right about that. Then an idea came to my mind.

"Hey, Eddy, do you want to play a game?" I asked him as he was arching his eyebrow at me. I smirked.

"Something that will make others annoyed," I said as I was smiling at him. Eddy smirked as well.

"Now that something that I loved to play," he said as we get to work with our devious plan.

I was looking at my stuff before I was putting it into the drawer that was provided by us. Then, out of blue, someone was coming inside the room.

It was the tourist that was asking me about the restaurant.

And the thing is, we have put some traps for our fun after that. Eddy was holding a pail of water that was ready to be spill before it was splashing against the newcomer. His face was priceless as I was trying to control my laughter. But I failed.

"Dude, I'm so sorry," Eddy said before the newcomer was looking at him. I cracked the ice as well.

"You should see your face, dumbass," I said before the newcomer was looking at me. Then he was furrowing his eyebrows at me.

"Did we meet before?" He asked me as I was smirking at him before I was getting up from the bed to get acquainted with him.

"The name's Tyler Virtanen. Nice to meet you. The guy that washed you with water is Eddy. Eddy Dobulski. Come on, dude. The guy's cool," I said as I was patting Eddy on the shoulder. I smirked before the newcomer was looking at us.

"We're your roommates and that was a welcome ceremony for you. Say, roomie, what is your name?" I asked him before he was looking at us.

"Leo, Leonardo Ricci, a pleasure to make your acquaintances," he said as he was extending his hand. I took it as well as Eddy.

"Likewise," we said simultaneously as I was smiling charmingly at them. I think I will have some fun with these goons.

We got acquainted before I was looking at the two people in this room right now. And we're having some get to know the section of how we got here.

"So, how do you got into this mess?" Eddy asked Leo as I was looking at him. Then, something was coming into my mind.

"Wait, aren't you the guy that asked what was going on in the restaurant the other day?"  I asked him before Leo was arching his eyebrow at me.

"Ah hah! It is you, isn't it? How could I have not recognized it before?" I said as I was shaking my head at Leo. He smiled before I was remembering all the details that we first met.

"What happened?" Eddy inquired.

"Well, this goon has been asking about the guys that were trying to get into the restaurant. He did not know what was going on until I told it's for a free meal. I thought he might get some as well," I said as I was patting his shoulder. Leo smiled.

"Wow, and did you get inside?" Eddy asked before Leo shrugged.

"Not inside actually. I saw a fight between these youngsters and an elder man. I know they will crush him so I save them instead," Leo said as he was sitting next to me.

"What did I tell you? He is a heroic person," I said as I was looking at him beamingly. Leo shook his head.

"You don't believe me that you're heroic?" I asked him before he sighed.

"No, I thought I was doing the right thing," he said before Eddy and I were laughing at his statement. He frowned.

"Sure, Leo, sure," Eddy said before he was sipping on the beer. Eddy then gave to Leo one.

"And how do you guys got here?" Leo asked us as I was looking at him.

"Well, you know my story. I might as well know how yours are," he said as we were both looking at each other, Eddy and me. Leo smiled before he put his unopened beer down.

That's right. It was right to tell him how we both got here as well. And so, we both did, Eddy and I.

"Don't you like beer?" I asked him as he was shaking his head before smiling at me.

"No, I'm more of a wine guy,"

"Ah, so you're fancy then," I said before I was looking at Eddy. He was sipping on his beer. I turned to Leo and smirked.

"Well, I guess I go first then,"

Later on, after we both told our stories, Leo was speechless before he was blinking his eyes at us.

"So, you meant to tell me that you were bumping into the strange woman was the key that you were in this hostel?" He asked Eddy as he nodded.

"Pretty much," he said before he smirked at us. I turned to look at Leo before I was looking at Eddy. He was not telling the whole story right now.

And I think we will know soon enough.

"Okay, if you say so," Leo said before he was stretching. Then, he froze.

"Dude, what's the problem?" I asked him before he was looking around.

"Is there any desk and chair that I can use?" He asked before Eddy and I shook our heads.

"Not that we know of," I said before Leo sighed. "Why would you need such things?" I asked him as I was arching my eyebrow at him. Leo smiled.

"Nothing in particular," he said but I was not satisfied. Not until I know what he was hiding from me.

Then, when we're getting ready to sleep, Leo asked a peculiar question. He asked Eddy to borrow his stationary and some paper as I was mocking Leo with that.

"Wait, you write?" I asked as he nodded at me.

"On paper? With a pen?" I added before Leo nodded again. Then, I laughed at him as he was frowning at me.

"What's wrong with being authentic? It's not a crime, you know," Eddy said as he handed some to Leo. I was still laughing at them both.

"Here, you can use mine. Forget Tyler. He's insane," Eddy said as I was still laughing on my bed at their behaviors.

"You guys are sissy! What a pair!" I said before Eddy asked me to shut up. And I did shut up as I was exhausted to do this kind of thing right now. And then, the sleep claimed me as I closed my eyes.

But of course, we did not. I was hearing someone be out in the dark when I was turning to see that Leo was getting out of the room. I went out of my bed before I was waking up Eddy.

"Eddy, wake up. Wake up!"

"Ugh, go to sleep! Why are you doing this, Tyler?!" Eddy groaned before I was pulling his duvet.

"Come on, I think Leo is up to something,"

"Just leave him alone, will you? Why are you so interested in Leo anyway?" he asked me as I was looking at him.

"Please don't tell me you're not curious about his life as much as I did," I said as I was looking at Eddy. He sighed before he was getting out of the bed and walked to the door with me.

"Okay, let see if he was up to something," I whispered to him as we were walking in the hallway and we were lurking in the shadows.

I think we're like freaking vampires right now.

"You don't believe me?" Leo's voice was heard in the hallway.

"I will believe you when you marry me, you idiot," a feminine voice was replying to him. I turned to look at Eddy before he was arching his eyebrows as well.

This is getting interesting.

"You will, after one month,"

"I'll be waiting then," the feminine voice stated before she went away. Then, Leo was sighing as he was picking up his stuff before he was walking to our room again. And then, he spotted us.

"Gah! What the hell!" He said as I was smirking with amusement as Eddy was arching his eyebrow at me.

"So, where have you been, Leo? Sneaking in the middle of the night?" I asked him as Leo was leaning against the door.

"Nowhere," he replied.

"But, you were carrying some papers and a pen. Are you sneaking around to paint some nudes?" I said before Eddy was snickering behind me. Leo groaned before he replied to me.

"You know I was not that kind of person,"

"So, care to tell us what kind of person you are really?" Eddy asked Leo before he was closing his eyes.

"It's none of your business," he said before he was putting the stuff down and yawned. He turned to us with his tired eyes.

"Look, can we talk about this tomorrow. I wanted to sleep right now," he said before Eddy and I have exchanged glances. Then, we both smirked.

"Sure, and tomorrow, no more secret Mr. Ricci," I said before Leo scoffed.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever," he said before the sleep claimed him as well as us. It was a tiring night but mostly, some secrets lurking around this Hostel after all.
