What the actual fuck. Her breath came out in small pants, her body reacting to Cedricks words in ways she didn't understand. There would be repercussions? This can't be real, she took a deep breath trying to calm her racing heart.

Slowly she leaned forward studying the translucent vines around her ankle. The evidence is right here though, she stroked one of the tendrils, magick is real. Suddenly the vine wrapped around her palm sending warm waves into her hand. She grasped it, focusing on the healing energy, the vine reacted much like the orbs in the crate, shimmering and pulsing, however this time she didn't smack them away. The vine let out a solitary bud, slowly opening around her fingers. It was white as snow, pure shimmery perfection. All at once, the vines disintegrated in a puff of wispy glittering sparks coating her then absorbing into her body. She sat stunned, her ankle now bearing no pain. Cedrick said it would take awhile to fully heal, how is it that its already worked its magick? Concern crept into her heart as she lay back down, what is this new world? She closed her eyes. For now I really have no choice, I will do what is asked of me. I have no idea where Lorne is, or where I could even go from here.

The bed suddenly felt comforting, the soft down cover like a cloud beneath her. She yawned, I will worry about it in the morning she thought lazily, her body ached from the crate and sleep crept in like a wave crashing over her, sending her into the depths of slumber.

For the first time Alarra did not dream of darkness, she stood on the porch of the farmers house instead. She was nearing twenty and being an adult with no special skills, was considered a burden. She sighed. Great winds sent the autumn's grain sprawling through the field like a great ocean. A crisp blue sky stretched above, and she breathed in the sweet spices of the harvest times air. This house and the forests surrounding it was all she had ever known. Magick was a tangible thing, like the few crops that grew from tiny seeds in the loamy earth. Life made sense, it was dark and unforgiving, yet.. understandable.

She knew very little of the towns nearby, growing up her life consisted only of the teachings the elder children granted her, and the woods. She knew the basics due to sheer willpower, studying the few books and balance tables of the farm when nobody was looking and wandering the forest and learning the ways of the wildlife in it. That is how she survived, pure, stubborn, resolve. It was a hard lonely life, and she hardly knew what it was like to not be hungry, but it was hers, and she cherished what little she had.

Suddenly among the grain she spied a man, tall and foreboding. Alarra gasped as he strode towards her, continuing his decent until they were face to face. His features were strong, a pale face framed by dark penetrating eyes consumed her in ways she didn't understand. His hand stroked her cheek sending electric waves of static energy between them.

"You are mine now." He whispered. Leaning in closer his tongue flicked out licking her quivering lips, "and I intend to claim you in every way possible." Her breath hitched, trapped by his dark encroaching energy. She breathed him in and the violet waves of his magick filled her with a silky warmth. She couldn't escape him this time.

Suddenly the farmhouse disappeared, in its place was him, surrounding her and holding her tightly against his strong chest. However she didn't feel scared.. she felt safe. He rolled her over, forcing himself atop her. As he leaned down to meet her lips the darkness encased them both.
