" And what price does she need to pay."Sophia was adamant to give in.

"How about you allow me to use my powers and see your future, because even I don't know what fate it is but it was written that,the devil's mate will suffer a fate worse than death." He explained. even he was curious about the tragedy that would befall her.

Sophia thought about it. She did not know what awaits her. If it was possible to know just to be ready then why not,she would accept his offer.

"Okay,get it done with." She replied masking the slight tremors on her voice.

"Yes,my lady." He replied and immediately a wisp of smoke emerged from his hands and moves directly to her.

She was enveloped in darkness then she started seeing flashes of images in her mind.

They flipped over and over until they became visible somehow.

In the memory she saw herself and Raphael arguing about something.

"Am begging you Raph,can you not continue with your plans, aren't we peaceful this way,you and our son can live peacefully." Sophia begged.

"My lady,I think you are wasting your time talking to him,it's like he can't hear you and is possessed." Said Rizia.

"What can I do Rizia,I can't let him take this path,it will only Lead to destruction,alot of people, innocent beings will be sacrificed and for what? just to seek revenge. You and I know that he will never win even if he uses our son as a sacrifice." Sophia said crying even More.

"The prince's fate is interlocked with his Father, they can only perish together or live together." Rizia reminded her.

"Ofcourse I know that,I have tried all my best but it seems his revenge is more important than the safety of all the people,than my love to him." Sophia continued.

"Then what to do?" Rizia asked.

"I love my husband,I love my son and I love this kingdom,I will never let anything happen to any of them." she said resolutely.

"My queen...do you mean?"

"Yes, Rizia. Help me inform my Father to take care of my son for me,Tell him to leave together with the heavenly troops,I will activate the crystal of doom and sacrifice my soul to keep the world safe. Raphael too will be saved from the curse.... I should have done this long ago but didn't think this will come so soon." Tears were rolling down her cheeks.

"Okay, farewell my queen." Said Rizia letting the tears fall down freely. Their queen was the strongest.

"Ask Gavin to somehow lead Raphael towards the crystal of doom, since it's his destiny to end this." she was referring to it was Raphael's destiny to be the one to kill his mate so that his redemption will be completed.

"Okay." she said and gave her final bow to her queen .

The images flashed and now they appeared to be near a black crystal that was as big as a human statue.

Gavin appeared together with Raphael.

Sophia was standing near the crystal. Seeing her Raphael thought she was his enemy trying to steal the thing he was going to use to conquer those angels.

"How dare you?" He said rushing towards her,his sword fully drawn. His sword emitted black smoke.

He charged towards her ready to pierce her but Sophia turned around immediately and his sword stopped one inch to her chest.

"Aaaaah!" Sophia woke up panting,her body covered in sweat.

She was terrified by what she saw in the memories of rather in her future life.

Raphael's sword was just one inch to claiming her life.

"What's wrong?" Raphael scooped her in his hands rubbing her back in a soothing manner.

She hugged him, letting the tears fall freely.

she was scared. was this what awaited her in the future? If yes then wasn't whoever conjured such a fate cruel to her. Did she perhaps offend him in her past life?

But then that wasn't important anymore. What was important now was to look for ways to rescue Raphael from the possession and at the same time find ways to change their fate.

"What is it my love? a bad dream?" He asked because he knew that he could at times manipulate people's dreams. It has always been something he found pleasure in but seeing his mate distressed and in pain,he didn't know what to do.

"Yes ... yes a bad dream." she replied stuttering.

"Relax... I am here now. no need to be afraid." He consoled her .

She ofcourse wouldn't tell him what it is she saw in her future. She didn't want him to get worried at all. It was fine as long as she did the worrying,he already had alot in his hands.

"Raph, have you ever thought about leaving everything behind and living a peaceful life with your family?" she asked.

Raphael froze for a minute then turned to look at her.

"No, not yet.. I am the devil afterall and was cursed to lead a life of loneliness,I don't even know when you will be taken away from me. The only thing am sure that will be with me forever is my kingdom." He replied.

It's not that he has never thought about it, he did. But ofcourse he knew that he would never have the luxury to enjoy life. He was a cursed being. He once had his brothers and friends but he rebelled and was pushed down here. Heaven will never be merciful enough to allow him to have a peaceful life.

He was glad she was here with him,the days spend with her could be said to be the best days of his life but he knew this was temporary.

The prophecy talked about being redeemed by his mate but she would pay a terrible price for that to happen.

He didn't want that. He didn't want her to save him,he wanted her to always be with him but it was impossible.

Sophia decided to not push her luck anymore.it was a question she asked on impulse but he nevertheless gave her a reply.

She will change his mind with time,she will not let him be wronged at all. she loved him and wanted to spend their time together.

"Raphael, when can I start practicing my powers?" she asked him to change the subject.

From Sophia's memories she knew that she had some powers and according to Raphael,she could have all the powers he had after completing the mating bond.

Raphael was taken aback by her question. He wondered what was wrong with her? First that question and now this,get wondered what it is she saw in her nightmare.

"You want to start practicing?" he gently asked her.

"Yeah,I want to start practicing and be stronger, I want to be capable enough to protect myself Incase of any danger." she explained.

"Okay whatever you say." He readily agreed. He also wanted her to be strong and not feel inferior Infront of his and her subjects. it's just that he thought he would have to coerce her into practicing.

"We will start with training you martial arts, that's way, your body will get stronger. As for activating your Powers,you need to be strong physically and mentally." He continued to explain.

"Practicing martial arts is the best way to increase your will power that you need to activate your Powers. You know you are half human half angel and that makes you weaker than pure breds." he said

"Okay, whatever you say,I will listen." she did not disagree with his arrangements.

"That's my good girl." He praised her.

"Let's go roaming around,I Feel like taking a walk." Sophia suggested.

She had felt exhausted mentally after what they had done, looking into her future. She wanted to roam around, enjoy some fresh air and delicious food ofcourse.

"How about you bribe me first my lady?" he said suggestively.

"And what it is that you want my king?" She asked back.

hearing her call him that brought a sweet sensation in his heart. god! he loved this woman. she was able to evoke feelings he never knew he could feel in his long life.

Doing mundane things with her felt so refreshing, like cuddling, something he never even thought in his wildest dreams he could do with a woman.

She was changing him and this change was very sweet. He could finally make love,not just have sex.

In his life,women were meant to satisfy his carnal desires,but with her,he wanted her to enjoy their union. He was more concerned of letting her be satisfied rather than chasing his own satisfaction. He wanted to care for her first before he cared for himself. Only her could make him do things selflessly. That's how much she affected Him and boy, he loved it.
