Chapter Fifty Eight- Deadly proposal

"Dad…Mum, I's time to retire to my room." Stacey declared wearily, standing to her feet.

"What about your meal?" Susan enquired, with visible concern gleaning in her eyes as she looked up from her plate.

Stacey had barely eaten half of her meal and the little she ate, took a lot of will power to get her to do so.

"I really do not feel like eating any more."

"Why? Don't you like it? Would you prefer something else?" Susan reeled out various options for Stacey, but she just shook her head slowly.

"It's nothing like that. The food is perfect, but I just need to catch a quick sleep. I have a proposed long day tomorrow."

"Sure?" Susan insisted. She was far from being convinced by Stacey's words. It was obvious Stacey was yet to return to her usual self, which made it a matter of  concern to her.

"If she says she's not hungry, why bother yourself?" James growled.
