Hades POV
Those pale wretched souls wandering about in the night beat their fists against the gates of The Underworld, as Hades liked to call his new sanctuary.
Natural stone pillars in front of the cavern entrance generated a deadly energy field between them once Hades awakened the natural forces within. The Eternal Sentinels might be closed off to him, his temple reduced to rubble, and a witch shield permanently in place that even he couldn’t break.
Once he had Cyran back, though, he would shatter that shield and carve a new temple from the rock. He would transform the canyon into a castle the likes of which the shifter territories had never seen. All he needed was Cyran. His own power was great, but his descendants outmatched him. Even that girl named Garnet.
Females and witches weren’t to be trusted, but he admitted that he might need Garnet someday. Her raw power seemed greater than her brother’s.
