Chapter 9

Henry's P.O.V.

I woke up to my wolf Joey driving me crazy. He caught Lilian's scent and he wanted to go kiss and caress her. I took a whiff of her leggings and got up. I put my shoes on and walked to the bathroom to get myself together. Now I know why Lilith's Fae Absinthe is so expensive. Before yesterday, we had only had it once. When we turned 18, our father gave us each a bottle to celebrate our birthday. We went to buy more and found out that a bottle cost $3,000 each. A barrel was $15,000. We were wealthy but to spend that much for a bottle when we could buy human alcohol for less than that. But it did get us drunk, which regular human alcohol cannot do.

I brushed my teeth and washed my face. I brushed my full goatee with my finger nails. I didn't want to look crazy for our mate. I walked out the room and down the spiral stairs and followed our mate's scent. I found her in the dining room with her family. They were laughing and talking. When I walked in, they got quiet and Miguel waved for me to join them.

"Good afternoon Henry." Miguel said with a smile.

"What time is it? My phone is dead." I said to him.

"Almost two in the afternoon. We are just waiting for your brothers so we could have a meeting. Don't worry, we are going to be in the background because Lilian wants us there. You are welcome to eat whatever you want. Enjoy, our cooks are great." Miguel said.

"Okay."

After I ate, I followed Miguel and his Beta Jason to his office to wait for my brothers. Thirty minutes later, they were brought in by Lilith. They all walked in along with Lilith and Lilian.

"We wanted to have this meeting because my mother doesn't want to leave with you today. I know all too well how this goes." Lilith said.

"I don't want to leave. I have a right to stay here if I want to. I think we can come up with a schedule since I know you guys are busy alphas." Lilian said. She was so cute, I just wanted to pick her up and carry her in my arms.

"Okay, what do you want to do? You will have to come with us eventually." Robert said.

"Well you guys have to let me know your schedule week by week. I think that's fair." Lilian said sternly.

"Seriously? How long do you think you will last before your body aches for us?" I asked her as I walked over to her and lean in to look in her beautiful green eyes.

"I don't know but I'm willing to give it a try." She said as she closed her eyes.

"You are stubborn." Joshua said.

"I know. So please, talk to your Beta and figure out your schedule for the upcoming week." Lilian said as she sat next to Lilith.

Our phones were dead so Miguel called Kelvin from his phone. He passed his phone to me.

"Hey, can you tell me know what our schedule looks like for this coming week? We need to step up a schedule for our mate." I said to him.

"She's not coming with you today?" Kelvin asked.

"No, she's stubborn." I said to him. I could hear him laughing.

"Okay, you guys have a meeting Monday morning. You do have an alpha meeting on Wednesday afternoon and your Luna should be present. After that, basically just checking your businesses. Oh and Gloria is here waiting for you in your office along with Tina for Chad, and Gina for Robert." Kelvin said. Fuck! I knew Lilian heard what he said.

"I think you guys should go take care of your lovers. I refuse to be anyone's booty call." Lilian said as she opened a portal and walked through it.

"We have your number. We will be present at the alpha meeting on Wednesday so my mother will be there too." Lilith said as she opened a portal to our home. I watched Chad, Manuel, and Joshua walk through.

"Please have her text or call us." I said before walking through. We were in front of our three-story old Victorian style building. Joey was crying and howling in my head as we walked into the building. I went upstairs to my bedroom to put my phone to charge and then I went to my office to break things off with Gloria. When I walked in, she was completely naked with only a pair of black heels on. She looked so sexy but not as sexy as my beautiful mate would look.

"Hey daddy, I was waiting for you." Gloria said as she walked towards me. She was 5'7 without her heels, light skin, with beautiful hazel eyes, long wavy blonde hair and skinny.

"Can you please get dressed. I found my mate so I can't do this with you anymore." I said to her as I walked to my chair and sat down.

"What do you mean?" she asked as she tried to sit on my lap. I pushed her off. She had a surprised look on her face.

"My mate, I found her last night. You know the rules. Once we found our mate, things between us were over. The same with you. So please respect me and my mate." I said to her as I watched her get up. She got dressed and left.

"Good choice." Joey said.
