Babysitting

He carefully carried her into the mansion despite the frown on his face, she was still unconscious, she asked the old man to get her checked and it turned out she should be awake by tomorrow and he even gave him an antiseptic for her bruises after bandaging where it was needed, he changed into his night wear and put the girl in the room next to his, he cleaned the bruises on her leg making sure she didn't wake up after that went to bed, he wanted to learn more about the the alley girl, she managed to pique his interest, maybe because he hadn't ever gotten the chance to experience life on Earth, he read all the files on her but he couldn't find out about why she was there in the first place, he thought about asking her but the Earthling was probably traumatized and amidst his thoughts he drifted into sleep.

The next morning after taking a shower and getting dressed he was already in the the human girl's room, he wanted to see her reaction, her head should be much more clearer in the morning and maybe she'd stop spouting nonsense. After awhile she finally woke up and she almost fell off the bed, he wasn't happy about her fearful reaction, where was the overconfidence she had last night? Maybe she wasn't worth his time.

Then he noticed her eyes widen, the memory of the previous night flooding into her mind, there it was... She finally realized the gravity of what she said last night, but then her eyes sparkled noticing that she was finally free, she wasn't in the lab anymore. She jumped down the bed and grabbed his hands.

"Thank you so much", she exclaimed like a kid who finally got the chance to taste some candy, he knew this reaction but he was going to have to burst her bubble.

"I'm sure remember you said you'd do anything for me to take me with you with me", he reminded her smile immediately turned upside down which brought a smile to his face then she folded her arms and pursed her lips, she wished she could leave here but she had no choice.

"Fine, what do you want?" she asked and he almost burst out in laughter, Earthlings were so strange he was the one helping her here and she acted as if she was doing him a favor, fine she asked for it.

"You're going to be my PH (personal helper) what do you guys call it... assistant I want to learn about people of this..... city, just until I leave", and her frown deepened but his smile got bigger, he knew if she at least had any brains she would agree right now because her safety was on the line who knows what they would try to do to her if she was back in that Lab.

'Danger outside' she suddenly heard and she knew it was right, she couldn't leave this place and this guy reeked of power, power that could keep her away from someone cutting her open, and she could sense it and as much as she didn't want to, she didn't have a choice.

"Fine, it can't be that hard", she agreed and went to get a shower after he ordered her to, he went to his wardrobe to get her a shirt, he had sent a servant to get her clothes but she hadn't returned he walked down the hall when he ran into Allen.

"Are you sure you want to keep her here, she's in trouble, I know but it's going to turn sour if she finds out the truth", he said calmly but one could read the warnings his words contained.

"It's just for a while Allen, dad's going to find me soon anyways", he replied nonchalantly but Allen didn't buy it his friend had the habit of getting himself in trouble and now he had another Earthling to babysit as long as she and Damian went their separate ways thing would be fine and that was going to happen soon so he shouldn't worry, right?

"Don't get attached", he said and walked away and Damian scoffed, yes he was possessive of his things but the human was below him, he was just babysitting for a while and trying to gather more knowledge about humans this was like a field trip to him. He walked towards his closet and grabbed a hoodie and a pair of jeans and dropped it on the bed for her and walked into the dining area, it was a replica of the one on Titan but smaller.

"Master Damian what would you like to eat today", said the Ainep kitchen AI.

"What do humans eat?" he asked unsure of what to feed the Earthling.

"Most humans enjoy food like junk food pizza and burgers, which would you like?" asked Ainep.

"I'm trying to get her to regain her energy, so she has to eat healthy for now", he replied.

"Then I recommend you get Mac and cheese or spaghetti..... wait her?!" said the sensitive AI and it pretty much irritated Alex, he programmed it to have reactions like emotions but he should have turned down the sass and overdramatic attitude. But he wouldn't even if he wanted to it had been with him so he wouldn't go crazy when he was alone.

"Serve both", he ordered and the food was started processing and he waited and Allen walked in and sat down.

After a while the girl walked in and they watched her like she was a strange phenomenon and she sat on the table and the food was served just in time and her eyes lit up when she saw it and it made him doubt if humans actually ate this but when she took a bite he finally let out a sigh of relief she kept eating like she hadn't eaten for days Allen seemed to be enjoying the food but he wasn't in the mood to eat, he couldn't wait to get out of the house. Damian kept adding food on her plate and she ate it all until there was none of it left, she was so full, she hadn't had a meal like that in a year, where she was they only fed her enough food to keep her alive for the final stage of testing.

Then the maid walked in with the clothes he asked her to buy and she quickly went to go changed. She walked into the room lost in thought wondering trying to think of a plan so she wouldn't have to stay here, she was really grateful but she could bear the thought of depending on someone and she was pretty sure she didn't have the ability to trust anyone right now and there was something off here. But she had given her word as long has she was with him she would do whatever he wanted and he didn't even ask for much, he needed someone to show him around and she needed someone to protect her. She walked into the dining hall in a white floral dress, she brushed her hair. Her heart skipped with joy, she was finally out of there, though she was scarred for life, now she could start all over again, a new beginning...
