And the Journey Begins.....

Already waiting at the Airport was a white guy, a middle aged man with blonde curls carrying a sheet with Nuri's name written on it. Yes, after sponsoring everything, from air tickets to fees, from housing to meals, it was a great expression to hire a cab for carrying students from airport to their respective colleges.

It was a 14 minute ride to the college she enrolled in the Harvard Campus. She passed the 14 minutes investigating about the campus, the dorms, the people, the food and almost everything about the American culture. The cab driver was nice enough to introduce everything to her.

"So, scholarship student"? asked the driver

"Yeah, I feel I was the lucky one go get a full funded scholarship to such a prestigious Institute"

"Very few overseas student get this scholarship so i too feel you are the lucky one here" chuckled the driver.

"So, here we are at the campus, in case you need any help there are guides at every gate".

Yeah, okay, thank you so much

So, welcome to the campus of Harvard... Welcome to the dream of many economics students worldwide.... Welcome to Harvard's department of Economics

Entering the campus, she felt quiet unusual as to not see a single Indian face. Either White People or other ethnicity. Her eyes were searching for a familiar face when suddenly she felt a pat on her back.

"Hii! Are you Nuri?"said the young lady with a happier and excited face.

"Yeah, I am" Nuri looked confused

"Oh sorry, j just forgot to introduce myself, I am Jia Lian, a Chinese citizen and a Liberal studies major here at Harvard and the most important your roommate for this academic year".

The girl had a round face, mini eyes, a cute nose and looked the happiest person on the world. Nuri just felt a pragmatic aura around her.

"Ohh, Hii nice to meet you. May I ask when did you arrive here?" asked Nuri

"Oh, just two days ago and I was asked to welcome my roommate here. Never did I know my roommate will be a piece of art herself!" exclaimed Jia.

Nuri had a hearty laugh and they went on to compliment each other and talking about the other stuff until they reached their dorm.

One side of the room was already aesthetically decorated and gave positive vibes just like the type of personality Jia was. Jia helped Nuri to unpack her clothes and other stuff into the wardrobe and obviously helped her next to dial back to her home using the dorm landline.

Her parents, her brother and her best friend were emotional enough and showered her with telephonic kisses. (P.S.Amit lived in their neighborhood to it was easy enough to call him whenever needed)

"Please buy a sim and open an account as soon as possible beta" said Mr. Ghosh

and don't you dare to ignore us, shouted Amit and Ariket collectively

Okay okay, now can i just unpack some things guys?

Yeah, sure take care and call us regularly, said Mrs. Ghosh.

Jia showed her around the campus and the stores near the campus. They had cold brew together as it was Jia's favorite as well. (It was Jia's treat as to welcome Nuri).

"Remember,next treat is on you. Tomorrow we'll just visit the bank to ask for the formalities for the bank account."said Jia

" Yeah, okay"Said Nuri

and the night continued by discussing about likes, dislikes, families etc etc. ....
