Someone Miss You

Twenty minutes earlier.

"I'll send someone to send beef bulgogi noodles from Seung-Gi Restaurant." he swiftly typed the words before click 'send' button.

Jude wore a darkened expression and there was a murderous intent in his his eyes.

He gestured Tony to continue his reports regarding the matter involved Rose Smith and Mr Devon Luke.

Jude squinted his eyes upon listening to Tony's report. He was obviously displeased with the rumours that went around.

"The real culprit, Mr Devon still do not make any contact with Miss Smith. It was as if he was waiting for good timing to cause downfall to Smith's family."

Jude leaned against his chair, gently tapped his index finger on his jaw, thinking.

If it is what he think of, then, Rose is in dangerous situation. Thinking back the time he first met Rose and the state she was in, he was unknowingly clenched his fists that almost turned the knuckles white.

That bastard! How he wished to destroy the house of Luke! But he knew he couldn't do anything lest it caused bigger trouble to Smith's family especially Rose. He had no relation to her at all, aside being her knight in a shiny armor that came to her rescue that night that incidentally saved her. Incidentally.

Unless, she was his.

Nah... She has enough problem at hand at the moment. I don't have to add in some more of the troubles. Jude sighed desperately. It was the first time he felt so frustrated at how the things happen. Damn!

It was then his phone rang. He glanced at it. Jeremy. He swiftly picked it up and put on speakers.

"What if I call Jude? After all he knew what had happened before," it was a woman's voice. Rose? He took a second look at the caller ID and after he was ascertained that it was indeed Jeremy's number, he was curious. What exactly happened? Why did Rose talk to him? Or... Could it be Jeremy sneakily dialed his number to let him hear her voice? Bravo kiddo!

He deserved an award for that. He smiled to himself. Both men kept quiet and listened to the conversations between the two through the phone.

At first, Jude was extremely pleased with the fact that Rose didn't refuse the take away. But this pleasure indeed short lived as both of them heard Rose said 'Be careful otherwise others might think you're my toy boy... my another scandal.'

Jude bore an extremely dark expression upon hearing those words, while Tony paled and prayed earnestly for Jeremy's sake.

Uh, why did Miss Rose uttered such words to some younger man? Damn! He secretly glanced over Jude opposite him who at the moment scrunched his forehead, deep into thinking. He then realised Jude had hung up the phone call. There was an awkward silence between the two of them. Tony didn't want to say a word lest he will become the victim later. He rather to be muted and acted like a wall flower.

After a while Jude's phone rang.

"What is it now, toy boy?" on the other side of the phone call, Jeremy nervously scratched his head. Uncle... Spare me my little life, he begged inwardly.

"Uncle, why did you hang on me? You should listen to the very end," he stammered. He really need to curry his uncle's favor. Or else, he will be dragged back to the old mansion. Ah... He don't want that to be happened!

"What now toy boy?" Jude kept on pressing him by using the term 'toy boy' that made Jeremy became uncomfortable.

"Uncle, don't worry. I'll not become her toy boy. You should know about me and Ruby. Didn't you listen to our conversation?" Jeremy really worked hard to please his uncle Jude. Jude smirked.

"Uncle, she told me she missed you," this time there was silence between them. Jeremy even could hear his own heart beating hard with nervousness. It was totally torturous to his mental and physically. Damn it!

"She told you that? What else did she said?" After what seemed to be an eternity, Jude spoke. he couldn't mask his own nervousness. Jeremy almost laughed it loud, luckily he was just in time to control his urge to laugh at his uncle. His thirty-five-years-old uncle acted like a teenager, how could he not laugh at it? Gosh! This is even torturous than when the silence struck the two of them earlier.

"That you know what had happened to her before and you two are friends," Jeremy told him truthfully about his conversation with his lady boss.

"Friend?" Jude's eyebrow arched upward. Only friend? She only considered me as a friend? Only a friend? Did she not seeing him as a man? Jude frowned.

"Yes uncle. She said you are her friend. That's why I called you to offer you my personal advice," Jeremy casually uttered his words. Jude's lips twitched. He hung up on him for another time. Damn this kiddo. He dared to speak to me in that way? You'll see how I'm going to teach you some manners back home later. Just you wait.

Jude rested his head against the back of his leather chair and closed his eyes. Tony, who still sat on the chair opposite him quickly made his way out of the office.

Rose...Rose... You only see me as your friend? Don't you feel anything special about me? Love me maybe? Arghh... this is so frustrated! Jude took a deep breath and slowly let it go.

Jude...Jude... You are so pathetic! She only looked at you as a friend, nothing special happened between the two of you. Huh! I need to do something about it.

Since the first time he had accidentally met her upfront, he thought he was insane that his heart beat was beating real fast, as if he had run for 10 km-marathon. He heard about her before, even his own father had nagged him to get acquaintance with Smith's family through Rose Smith, but he ignored his father's words as he was yet ready to settle down. His father even getting mad with him when he heard Rose was engaged to Devon Luke. But, Jude, he didn't give a damn about the matter as long as it has nothing to do with him.

It seemed as if he had been awaken from his deep slumber. He had finally realised he wanted a lady like Rose to complete his life. It was time for a change.
