Chpt #46

At the hospital…

"Ryannnn! I miss you so much" Fanny ran in and hugs him.

Ryan pushes her away and said "I think you have forgotten that we broke up 5 years ago after you ghosted me?"

"I was young and foolish. I just wanted to be a better self just you" Fanny gave him a sympathy look and tears filled her eyes.

Desmond came in right after "Stop pretending! You are just jealous that Ryan is with Nancy now and that they are happier! You never loved him"

Fanny cried and hugs Ryan arms.

Ryan pulls his arm away and Fanny falls to the ground.

Nancy ended work early today and she visits Ryan before heading home.

As she was about to step into the ward, she heard a lady's voice. When she look through the small window on the door, it was Fanny.

"I really miss you Ryan. I struggled overseas alone telling myself that i have to stay strong just for you. I'm thankful that Grandfather was there at my lowest point in life. I was being molested, scammed and i had no money to even pay my rent until I coincidentally met Grandfather." Fanny continues to cry.

Desmond who couldn't stand it left the room. Upon seeing Desmond wanting to step out, Nancy dropped the bowl of porridge and ran off to the exit staircase and cried her lungs out.

"Why is there a spilled porridge here" Desmond was confused and pretends nothing happen and left.

"Enough Fanny! Enough! Stop with your drama! I already know everything about you! You pretend to be pitiful knowing that my grandfather will be there so that he can sponsor you to get to where you are right now! What else do you want?" Ryan shouted.

"Tsk! There's nothing i can hide from you. Ryan Gu. I get what i want. If I don't get it, don't expect others to get it too!" Fanny wipe her tears and left.

After cooling down for an hour, Ryan gave Nancy a call because she promoted to visit him after work.

"Nancy, where are you? I thought you are coming? And why didn't you pick up the call early on. I miss you" Ryan cutely speaks to her on the phone.

Nancy covers her mouth so that Ryan couldn't hear that she was sobbing.

"Nancy…?" Ryan was confused on why she didn't reply.

Nancy then hangs up the call and sends her a message.

"Ryan I'm sorry. I can't talk at the moment, my throat kind of hurts. I should be fine after a rest"

Ryan replied "Okay sweetheart, get well soon"

After all the drama, Desmond came back to Ryan's ward with their dinner.

"Desmond, is Nancy sick today?" Ryan ask Desmond out of curiosity.

"Sick?? She's strong like a bull! Oh speaking of which, she ends early today but she didn't visit you? Did you guys fight?" Desmond laughed.

"There's nothing to fight about! Eat your meal!" Ryan scolded Desmond.

"Nancy definitely is hiding something from me" Ryan murmured.
