Offer

As usual, Bjarte walks the streets of the capital while hiding his face under the hood of his cloak. He crosses the market place to take the road to the village where Tove is staying. He has not been able to visit her for the last couple of days, so his steps are faster than usual. Bjarte turns into one of the alleys that leads to the back road, when he feels that someone is following him. He walks faster and takes a few extra turns, but he still can't shake the person.

From the footsteps, the young prince can tell that only one person is trailing him. He grabs his dagger and takes a quick turn on the first alley to his right. He hides and waits for his stalker. As soon as the person reaches him, he yanks them and slams them against the wall. A small gasp escapes his follower's lips. Bjarte immediately places his dagger on their throat.

"Who are you? And why are you following me?"

"That hurts." The girl utters. Bjarte removes her hood and reveals the face of his stalker.
