"Thank you so much, Mr. Russell." Lucas pulled a smile at the corner of his mouth.
"No need to thank me. I should be thanking you for saving my wife." Henry Russell held Charlotte Cooper's shoulder, looking at Lucas with a provocative gaze.
Originally, he thought Lucas would at least look upset, but his face seemed calm and gentle.
Charlotte removed his hand, "Hurry up."
After she said that, she served a bowl of porridge for Lucas.
"I didn't know what you liked, so I bought Century Egg Lean Meat Porridge." She stirred with a spoon to help it cool down faster.
"It's delicious."
Lucas took a taste, then looked up and smiled. He ate very slowly, his gaze fixed on an egg at the side.
His gaze was so intense that it was hard to ignore.
"Do you want this?" Charlotte asked, picking up the egg.
Lucas nodded.
As his arm was still bandaged, Charlotte couldn't allow him to peel it himself, so she cracked the shell on the table and peeled it for him, putting it in his bowl.
