Chapter 510: Seal Mother Doesn't Appear
The three arrived at Cloud Russell's mother's hotel room. Lily Clark knocked on the door, but there was no response. She knit her brows and shouted, "Mrs. Russell! Your daughter is here, open the door!"
However, there was no movement inside, apart from the faint rustling sound that seemed like some tossing and turning in a bed.
"Mrs. Russell is sleeping?" Lily assumed, placing her ear on the door upon hearing the tossing sound, as she raised an eyebrow.
Charlotte Cooper and Joseph Andrew, trailing her arrival, looked confused when they caught sight of Lily at the door. They quickly moved to join her.
"What's up?" Charlotte grabbed her shoulder, puzzled.
"I just heard some moving around. It sounded like someone sleeping…" As Lily turned while speaking, she bumped into Joseph and quickly stepped back, her emotions complicated.
The two were focused on the room inside, so they missed Lily's small move.
