Lily McKenzie's face alternated between red and white as she tried to snatch the phone from Henry Russell's hand, but he quickly dodged her.
"Henry, it's not what it looks like, let me explain." Lily secretly gritted her teeth, blaming herself for being careless and hoping not to be exposed.
"It's not what it seems." Her eyes reddened, and she frantically searched for an excuse. "I was framed; I don't know why those text messages are there!"
Lily's tear-streaked makeup made her look even more pitiful. She suddenly straightened her body with an air of sudden realization, "I know what happened–someone must have switched my phone just now!"
Saying this, Lily tried to drag Henry to the restroom to prove her innocence. Her priority now was to stall Henry and buy Lucas more time.
However, Henry was not in the mood to listen. He sneered coldly, seemingly seeing through her act. Without any sympathy, he pushed her away, "We'll settle this after I return."
