Worried Sick

A group of policemen soon arrived at Fyre's place. Normally, the paparazzi would have the right to film as long as they didn't go overboard. But due to the actions they've committed these past 3 days, they were forced to evacuate. If they didn't, the police would have no choice but to arrest them all for trespassing, littering on private property, and harassment to the owner of the property.

"Thanks again for helping me, Jonathan." Fyre said again, watching the police cars drive away from his property.

"You're welcome. You're a special friend to me so I would gladly help anytime you need me." Jonathan replied with a bright and relieved smile before he reached out to Fyre and messed with his hair.

Fyre was annoyed by the action, but he suppressed himself and let him do it because the Alpha did help him when he thought no one would. He remained silent as they continued to stand there, even though they could no longer see the police car as it finally disappeared from their view. Fyre thought that that was the end of it and Jonathan would go back already since it was also dark out, but seeing that the Alpha wasn't leaving, Fyre awkwardly faced Jonathan.

"Uhmm? Aren't you leaving already?" Fyre asked, to which Jonathan replied with a meaningful smile.

"I haven't eaten the ramen you've made for me," Jonathan replied with a pout. However, the truth was, he wasn't going to leave unless Fyre came with him because the Omega was no longer safe in his own house. After what had happened earlier, despite the help of the authorities, he believed that the tabloid media wouldn't let this slip their hands. He wouldn't be surprised if another group of paparazzi would come and visit tomorrow and write untrue articles about him and Fyre.

"That's cup noodles, not ramen! But fine, I'll let you finish it before it gets soggy." Fyre said in defeat. He just wanted it to get over with. He didn't want to be a bother to the Alpha any more than he already is.

"Actually, my mission is to get you out of here, Fyre. I won't leave unless you come with me. I hope you understand that all of us are simply worried about you." Jonathan said all of a sudden. Hearing this, Fyre sighed and once more tried to convince him that he was fine. In the end he gave up, learning just how stubborn Jonathan could become. He was also tired and didn't want to argue anymore. He figured that because of this whole situation, he could no longer avoid Jonathan, Mo Tian Zi, …nor the rest of the Mos. If he was going to be honest with himself, they were the only ones that could help him now.

To avoid going back to zero where he would need to hide, find a new place to settle, and obtain a new identity, he'd rather try and ride on Mo Tian Zi's coattails, …just until everything was back to normal. He just needed to have a strong mind and heart to be able to survive it.

"Has your sister contacted you?" Jonathan asked. They were now on the way to Empire Hotel where Fyre was going to stay due to the facility being highly secured. This was also where he was going to meet Mo Tian Zi. Fyre was still a little reluctant to meet Tian Zi, but he had prepared himself and he shouldn't be that emotional when he finally sees him.

"She didn't."

"That's odd. She said she was going to contact you. She was very worried about you and upset that you didn't call her." Jonathan informed as he drove. Of course, he didn't think at all that at this moment, Remi, Marjorie, and Margarette were currently together to continue their canceled dinner meeting.

"I didn't contact her because I knew she was going to be worried again. Besides, I'm really fine. Those people couldn't get inside anyway. You're all just overreacting!" Fyre replied, still insisting he was fine even though he was not. Unfortunately, he would never be able to convince Jonathan because the Alpha had seen him earlier. He just tried to brush it off because he knew that's what Fyre wanted.

"Of course she would be worried. You tend to act strong when you're not! Fyre, it's okay to ask for help. You don't need to shoulder everything on your own. With what's been happening to you, Tian Zi, the rest of the Mo family, and I, should compensate you." Jonathan said seriously. He wanted to nail into the Omega's head that it was useless to pretend in front of him. He saw how broken Fyre was earlier when the Omega hugged him. That had never happened before, but Fyre hugged him because he needed someone at that moment. He needed someone to help him and be with him at that moment. Jonathan was relieved that he was that someone, and not anyone else.

Hearing this from the Alpha, Fyre played with his fingers. No matter how annoying Jonathan was, he was still a good friend and he was touched by what he said to him.

"Fine. Whatever. I'll contact her later... and I'll try not to shoulder everything from now on. Also, thanks for saying that. It's good to have a friend like you. I'm even more relieved now that I'm leaving Remi in your care." Fyre smiled. And although Jonathan knew Fyre's words were words of gratitude for him, his chest suddenly throbbed in pain hearing from him that he was only a good friend to the Omega. He does understand that, because he already had Remi, it's sick to imagine that. But no matter how much he tried to stop it, Fyre was growing on him. Nevertheless, he will try again and again to keep these growing feelings in check.

"I can't stay in the same room with you, so I'll be staying in one of the royal suites here," Jonathan said after escorting Fyre to Tian Zi's condominium unit. Fyre also agreed with the arrangement and soon they separated. Since Fyre had already stayed in this place before, he went to the room in which he'd previously stayed. He glanced at his watch and based on his calculations, the earliest Tian Zi should arrive would be in three hours. He was not planning to wait for the Alpha because he was still reluctant to meet him after ignoring his calls, so he decided to take a long bath. Unfortunately, he was enjoying it too much and wasn't able to keep track of the time, …and fell asleep in the bathtub.

Meanwhile, Tian Zi landed in the country with 20 minutes to spare. He had a vehicle waiting for him at the airport so, without delay, he quickly drove towards Empire Hotel. When he arrived there, the hotel staff already knew what was happening, so rumors within the company started circulating. But unlike the rumors circulating online, the rumors spreading among the Mo Empire employees was that Mo Tian Zi, who used to visit the hotel with his flings, had allowed an Omega in his private space at the hotel not once, but twice now.

Appearances of Tian Zi were a rare occurrence among the employees. But when they did occur, it would cause an uproar among them and they would tend to make bets on whether the Young Alpha would bring the person with him to his private place or one of the hotel rooms.

Everyone knew, especially those who are assigned to clean Tian Zi place, that he does not like anyone entering his room. But recently, he had let an Omega in twice! So right now, they didn't care what other people would say, but they were determined to believe that there must be something going on with the two; that Tian Zi and Fyre are not just friends, but lovers. Because why else was the Young Alpha treating the Omega so differently? It wasn't like Fyre was the first Omega he'd brought to the hotel. The Young Alpha had even been with celebrity Omegas before, but he never let them in his room. Only Fyre Long had been able to step inside that room.

Based on this, the employees knew that Mo Tian Zi was very similar to his older brothers, they didn't let just anyone into their private rooms, only those special to them. For example, Mo Hanlu had only brought one mysterious Omega in his room a couple of times a week for the past years, and it was later revealed that he was Ian Andrews. While Mo Laotian rarely used his private room, but when he did, he'd brought Daniel Mo with him.

Filling in his code to his security lock, the high-tech device made a brief sound indicating that the door had now opened and Tian Zi stepped inside. Only one thought filled his mind at this moment, and that was to find Fyre. So without hesitation, he walked towards the room where Fyre used to be and knocked gently. However upon knocking, the door opened on its own so he accidentally peeked inside and saw that Fyre wasn't on the bed.

Tian Zi wondered as to where the Omega was. He was about to close the door when luckily he heard something fall from the bathroom. It sounded like broken glass! Quickly, Tian Zi dashed inside and into the bathroom only to see Fyre in the tub, naked, with his eyes closed, …and slowly drowning in the water.

He didn't understand how someone could fall asleep while in the tub, but Tian Zi hastily approached Fyre and lifted the Omega out of the water. When he did this, Fyre immediately woke up. He coughed a few times, unable to say anything. He too was a little confused as to what had happened and why Tian Zi was there already. The Alpha was supposed to arrive in three hours.

"Do you plan to die!" Tian Zi asked in an irritated tone. He easily carried Fyre towards the space on the sink and sat him there before he quickly grabbed a towel to cover the still coughing Omega.

"I'm not!" Fyre replied and rashly grabbed onto the towel to hide his body. While his mind was confused at the whole situation, his face was quick to turn red realizing that Tian Zi had just seen him naked.

"Then why are you drowning yourself? Sleeping in the bathtub like that, surely you plan to kill yourself!" Tian Zi continued to use an irritated tone because he simply couldn't control himself when he saw Fyre. If he had been a second too late, the Omega might have already died.

"I told you I don't plan to kill myself! I didn't even know that I had fallen asleep! Why are you mad anyway? You could have just left me alone! Maybe I could have woken up by myself!?" Fyre replied in an outburst as he now understands the situation. But seeing how Tian Zi was mad at him, he couldn't help but be upset. Even he felt shocked knowing that he almost drowned himself. He may have thought of it before, but he will never purposely kill himself. Not now, not ever.

"Imagine me seeing you like that! You want me to just leave you alone? I've been worried sick about you, wondering how you've been all this time. I rushed back from Hawaii only to see you drowning! Do you think it wouldn't affect me if you died there?" Tian Zi replied, also in an outburst, his brows frowning in worry that without a doubt caught the both of them off guard; Fyre, shocked to hear such a confession and Tian Zi, frozen in disbelief at what he just said. Well, everything he said wasn't a lie, but he felt like it came out a bit …off. It sounded like he was head over heels for Fyre.

"W-What?" Fyre stuttered. A deep shade of red invaded his face once more.

"Never mind! Just go get yourself dressed up!" Quickly changing the topic, Tian Zi turned around putting one of his hands on his side and the other massaging his temple. He didn't wait for Fyre to reply as he went ahead and left the room leaving Fyre all confused.
