Baby Boy has Grown Up

Dreaming of the day when he was struggling to survive, Fyre tossed and turned from his sleep. His back and forehead were damp with sweat despite the spinning ceiling fan directly above him. Back then when he ran away from home, Fyre had become part of an illegal group. At first, he knew the guy who scouted him wasn't a good man but he was young and didn't know the seriousness of his situation. He believed that as long as he hid his gender, he would be fine.

After he left home, he didn't know what to do so he did what was told of him to do. He thought that if he continued to improve his skills, he would one day become big and people would recognize him in a different light. Not a recessive Omega whose destiny was set to become someone's babymaker, someone's sex slave or trophy wife.

"Hmmn," Fyre groaned uncomfortably as he once again shifted his sleeping position. He was still tossing and turning when he suddenly sat up screaming. The memory where he was being chased by his supposed friends after finding out that he was an Omega haunted him. He could still remember their lustful stares as they called upon his name from a distance. At that time, if Paul Hymlyn wasn't there to help him get away, he wouldn't have been living a carefree life pursuing his dreams.

Fyre panted heavily, even though it was just a nightmare, his heart wouldn't stop beating faster than normally. He didn't know why but he could still feel the stares people would use to give him as if they knew him just from looking at him. He tried not to let it affect him, after all, it was just people staring and judging him even though they didn't know who he really was. But in the end, he still couldn't stop feeling uncomfortable and terrified. Truthfully, he didn't how people would just easily tell you to not let other people affect you when in reality, with people who had severe anxiety and depression, it's not that easy! It's not that easy not to care.

Covering his face with his palms, Fyre silently sobbed. Of course, he's tired of caring about what people think of him but at the end of the day, he still cared. He couldn't stop. He wanted to stop but he couldn't. He tried and tried but it still affected him. The claims people would say just from looking at him still affected him. He wanted to prove that he was not what they thought he was but he was not strong enough. He was a coward. The only reason he hasn't gone insane or killed himself now was because he had distanced himself from people who might give him the same stare and judge him.

But now, with all that's happening, it feels like he has gone back to zero.

Fyre continued to sob in pain. His breathing became unstable and for unknown reasons, his hands were shaking and he couldn't feel his face. He cried and cried. He's desperate for someone else's comfort but he knew he didn't have anyone. He couldn't tell this to Remi and he didn't have friends to talk to either. Tian Zi came to his mind but he had decided to distance himself from him. In the first place, this had happened because he had gotten closer to the Alpha. Additionally, Tian Zi is now in Hawaii for a vacation with his family. He can't simply call him and ask for help because it's not like they're friend friend.

Still crying, suddenly his phone started ringing and this time instead of ignoring it, Fyre picked his phone to see who was calling. When he saw who's name was flashing on the screen, his tears began to stream down uncontrollably, however, instead of accepting the call, Fyre just stared at his screen crying until the phone call ended. Nevertheless, right after the call ended, his phone started ringing again.

Meanwhile, at the same time, Tian Zi frustratingly waited for his phone call to connect but no matter how he waited, his calls would stay on the ring.

"I knew I should've really forced him to come with us," Daniel mentioned dejectedly while swaying one of the twins on his arm. The news only came to them now because none of them were on their phone for the past three days so they didn't know what was happening back home to Fyre. It wasn't being broadcast on live television but the topic about Fyre was trending on both Twitter and Instagram.

None of them has social media so it was April who told them about Fyre and right now, Tian Zi was heading back in order to take responsibility for what had happened. When he first convinced Fyre, he was only thinking of himself and never thought about the consequences of it. It's because no one would actually dare oppose the Mo family, Tian Zi wasn't worried. He wasn't thinking that a simple position on his older brother's wedding given to an unknown individual like Fyre would surely cause an uproar.

"No, it's me and Luu's fault for not thinking everything through. I hope Fyre is fine, I know how the media can become quite passionate at times. I'm worried about Fyre's condition. There's a lot of nasty things about him being published online," Ian said dejectedly as well. He couldn't help but feel responsible for what was happening.

"Xiao Zi, you need to hurry up and help that poor and sweet boy, okay?" Laura Mo said this time and Tian Zi only nodded. He already called Jonathan to go and check on Fyre just in case. His friend was busy with his own family problem so he also didn't know what was happening to Fyre. He was planning to go back to Europe with Remi to introduce her to his family as his girlfriend but when he knew Fyre was in a pinch, he didn't think twice and decided to go and check on him.

"I will, Mother," Tian Zi said. They are currently staying at Elder Sullen's estate and he's about to ride the car to the airport where the family's private jet plane was on standby. He knew that Fyre is very well-loved in his family but he didn't know it was this intense. Fyre wasn't a bad person and he didn't seem to really care what was the Mo household social status but Tian Zi didn't think everyone would love him right away because when he first met Fyre, the Omega was like a wild animal that would bite you if you dare try and touch him.

Of course, in reality, the reason why Fyre has been so well-liked in the family was because aside from Fyre didn't have ill intentions, the Omega was the very first person Tian Zi introduced as his friend.

It's natural that the whole Family now knew never to trust anyone they just met but as long as Fyre didn't overstep his boundaries and remained the same, they would accept him with open arms.

"Mom, Xiao Zi should go already. The earlier the better," Hanlu said holding his mother's shoulders to which all the others agreed. Soon after, Tian Zi finally left. The whole family including the Sullens and Lopez's watch his vehicle disappear, and when finally when they couldn't see it, they all started walking back inside the mansion.

"Honey, this is the first time our Xiao Zi is acting like this. I'm so glad he didn't just have his computers running in his mind," Laura whispered to his husband. Truthfully, Laura was worried that her youngest would end up lonely for the rest of his life but now that she's seeing him making friends and caring about them, she felt relieved.

"He's now grown up, Honey. He doesn't need us anymore to worry for him all the time," Mo Chendong replied. Tian Zi was his and Laura's surprise baby and unlike Laotian and Hanlu, Laura was the one who raised him without help from anyone. That's why even until now she still sees Tian Zi as a little kid who used to cause trouble for them all the time.

"You're right. I think it's time for us to let him do whatever he wants. We'll just be there for him when needed us," Laura replied feeling a little heartbroken that she had finally decided to let her baby stand on his own feet because no matter how she complains about Tian Zi playing on his computer games three days straight and would only go out of his room to go to the gym and eat, she would still helplessly cook for him any time of the day and bake him his favorite desserts. In her eyes, Tian Zi was still that little boy who would pout asking for things he wanted and jumping energetically whenever asking about his older brothers.

"Hmn, don't worry. I'm sure he'll be fine," Mo Chendong consoled holding his wife's shoulder until they fully walked inside the mansion.

Meanwhile, on Jonathan's side at the exact time as well, he was about to go and pick up Remi from her work as usual. They planned to have dinner together with his Older sister and Margarette to set things straight however, as soon as he received a phone call from Tian Zi, he didn't think twice and decided to go check on Fyre. Three days had passed already but he never heard something like this happening to the Omega. While he was busy courting his girlfriend, his friend was suffering. Thankfully, he had been at Fyre's place before when he and Tian Zi sent him home when he was in heat so he knew where he was living.

"Baby, I might be late... I'm going to your brother's place and go check on him," Jonathan reported after putting Remi on the loudspeaker.

"Huh? Why? Was there something wrong about Fyre?" Remi asked. Clearly, she also didn't have a clue what was happening to Fyre.

"I heard from Zi that his house has been surrounded by paparazzi for three days now. A lot of things are being published about him online. You didn't know?"

"What? Oh my god, I had no idea about this, Fyre didn't mention it to me," Remi asked worriedly. She wondered why on Earth was there a paparazzi at her little brother's house when she remembered Mo Hanlu and Ian Andrews' wedding she and Fyre attended days ago.

She remembered her boss had called her about it and asked about her involvement with Jonathan Wood and the Mos. After that conversation, she started noticing the people at the place she worked at, treating her nicely. Her boss even offered her a promotion to which she declined for now because she truly believed she didn't deserve it yet. Everything was going fine on her side so she didn't know her little brother was receiving a different treatment.

"I'm guessing it's about his involvement with the Mos. Anyway, I'm driving to his place now. I'm going to call you later after I find out if he's okay," Jonathan said to which Remi didn't have a complaint. She regretted never checking up on Fyre herself after they went back that day but it's fine cause she can trust Jonathan to help his little brother no matter what problem he has.

"Okay. You don't have to pick me up, just call me when you see him. I'll try and call him as well, sorry to trouble you about this,"

"No, it's fine. Fyre is my friend too. I'll just call my sister that I have an emergency and we couldn't come tonight," Jonathan said while impatiently waiting for the traffic light to go green.

"Okay, drive safely..." Remi said softly to which Jonathan replied with a simple hum and before she could say I love you, the call quickly ended which instantly disappointed her but she understood because the Alpha was driving and the situation was urgent. She quickly pushed the slight painful sting away and proceeded to call herself a taxi.
