"Are you good to go?" Curt asked. Sonia struggled out of bed early. Morning sickness was doing its worse on her. She took a long soaking bath and had a cup of tea, the only thing she could hold.
"I am all right. I will make an appointment today with a paediatrician."
"Good. Let me know when, I want to be there with you." The SUV pulled up. "Vicky is here."
"Thanks, love." With their bags in hand they locked the door behind them, greeted the young corporal and got in.
"How are you feeling, Ma’am?"
"I am well. This morning sickness is taking too long." She sighed and sat back in the seat. She never thought she would ever resent going to work. Being on her feet all day left her swollen at night.
A week has come and gone, and Sonia was surprised how well she adapted in the domestic routine. The staff helped a lot during the transition phase. The doctors and nurses were professional and direct.
