Loser lover (Beomgyu fanfic)

"I will steal you from him. That's a promise." "Promises are made to be broken." "This time it won't." "But you're going to die." "Better than live without you." ~ Can a good man take a bad man's possession and get away with it unscathed? Is she worth the bloodbath? A/N: Just another AU fanfic for Beomgyu because my mind is giving me a headache I had to write them down in a book. Hope you’ll like it. Everything mentioned in this book are all fictions except for Beomgyu or TXT’s descriptions but in no way related to their real lives.

Beomgyu's pov

My heart is beating rapidly as I quickly turn to a corner before we end up in the red traffic light ahead and prayed hard that the car following us from behind the truck had no chance to see.

Alicia keep checking the rear for me so that I won't get distracted while driving. I immediately parked the car next to the one way pavement road, turned the engine off and slid the seat back to lay down.

Alicia on the other hand, lowered her head from the other side of the backseat and we patiently waited. Her fingers are shivering a bit but she tried to hide it by clamping her hands together and put them in between her knees.

No car passed within a two-minute window so I had to confirm if the perpetrators aren't trying to deceive us by stealthy approach.

Fortunately there was none but the workers from the offices nearby are starting to pour out of the glass buildings and our camouflage will soon leave the roadside.

"We must leave your car here and find something else to ride on." I whispered and she nodded in agreement.

I checked all corners by peeking and opened the door as fast as possible. Alicia crawled over the seat and followed me into a restaurant across the brick pavement.

"We'll go out on the other side and keep it low till we find a cab and get back to the hotel."

I was still instructing her of what to do when the waiter approached us from behind and got me startled.

"May I help you Sir? Ma'am?" He asked politely.

"Yes," Alicia squeezed my hand and quickly responded. "Can we have a table for two upstairs?"

"Yes Ma'am." He lead the way to the corner staircase and gave us the farthest circular table for two.

"Please press the button once you're ready to order." He smiled at her and laid two menus in front of us.

"Are you sure about this?" I waited till the server left to get us some drinks. The wide windows are being covered by a pastel-orange roll-screen curtain so it's hard to look outside without making it obvious from both interior and exterior of the restaurant. "We should've fled instead."

"Don't worry." She held my hands and sighed deeply. "My dad said that it's better to be in a public place than on our own at times like this."

"But we could get cornered once they realize your car is out there."

"On the contrary, I doubt those people would risk letting their faces be seen by crowds." She assured me yet I can't brush that feeling of someone was standing behind my back, just waiting to strike.

"Wait." I stood up and slightly peeked at the corner of the curtain. I almost jumped back in surprise after catching a glimpse of three men wearing the same rugged shirt and jeans I saw earlier.

This time they look way scarier than them and I don't think they would care whoever gets in the way.

"You should go hide in the restroom. I'll go lure them somewhere else."

"What? No!" Her loud voice attracted the attention of the elders having their salads and side eyed us. "That's too dangerous…" she lowered her voice and grabbed the hem of my black shirt.

"What choice do we have?" I massaged my temples in frustration.

"I'll call the cops." She confidently suggested which makes sense but I feel like it's hard to trust anyone besides my brother and he's not available at the moment.

"That's not a good idea."

"Why not?"

"The main reason is…"

I paused when the waiter came back and gave us two glasses of cold water and offered their house wine. She nodded and he poured right about halfway then excused himself once again.

"…your husband is a politician. He might have enemies everywhere. You shouldn't trust anyone easily." I huffed in frustration at how she's quite a character. The conflicting traits was making my head ache.

"You seem to have forgotten how we met."

"Well…"

"Let's just stay put for awhile and then find a way to go home before dark."

"But those guys are just a step away in finding where we are right now." I tried my best to sound low despite my extreme heart palpitations which is making me dizzy.

She eventually sighed deeply. "Then we got no other choice but to call my husband. Let's just hope he hasn't left already like he always does."

"Wait, you're gonna call his phone directly?"

"Yes. How else are we gonna reach him?" She frowned at me. "Let me use your phone since he won't answer landlines."

I handed her my mobile phone and memorized the number she put in before she could delete it.

I can't believe this is happening.

She really exposed his number to me and that's more than enough for my brother to track all his data by all means even if it's illegal.

The amount of victims this syndicate had got him this desperate to catch them. I have to let him know before I get distracted and forget it.

"Here. Thanks." She placed the phone over the table.

Every inch of my body wants to take it back and text my brother as soon as possible but the familiar male voices downstairs sent shivers to my spine.
