So many things to take in, so many things to feel pain for, and I didn't know where to begin with. I felt so disappointed with myself after I pondered over Loralie's words in my mind. I slipped my tongue very bad and she thought of me so pathetic, she didn't even raise her hand at me like she does usually to other people and no, I'm not masochistic. It was as if a bucket of ice water had been splashed on me when she said she was being humane to me only out of sympathy. I understood how foolish of me it was, to think Loralie was being that way out of real emotion, not pity.
