The notifications kept coming as the group of goblins approached cautiously due to their reckless dead companions.
The leader spoke to his group as they prepared their raised maces, at their approach, I slowly backed away waiting for the opportunity, which came when a bird descended and attacked their leader directly.
Taking advantage of the unexpected confusion among the group, I immediately ran between its members, where I aimed only at their leader, who seemed to be desperately protecting his eyes from the albatross's claws.
It was just one blow.
There was no military fencing, no style, and I didn't even use any fancy movement. The dark mace acted like a meteorite as I put all my strength into the attack.
While my target was still on the ground, this advantage allowed me to crush like butter any defense his body had put up and destroy the little armor he had and in the process his abdomen, crushing his ribs and lungs.
As if time had passed, no one expected a blow of that speed and their leader to be killed. I couldn't hold back any mana but I could still gather and concentrate it in certain parts of my body.
I knew the battle was over, I could retreat without fear of them trying to follow me, their morale had dropped and they seemed to have an internal conflict in their group, something that was not unusual for goblins, but if they escaped they would give notice of me and although the possibility of it reaching Sauron's ears would be minimal, I would not take risks.
"I hope you do not hold a grudge against me, but I will have to kill you"
Their faces only showed confusion and fear, they did not seem to understand my words either, but they seemed to understand that they would have to face me.
A short and strong goblin seemed to take the lead and shouted towards the others while taking the initiative and attacking me with his dagger, his only chance in his hand, which bent automatically as if refracted in the air. With a loud metallic sound, my mace and his vain attempt knocked him down.
The goblin had been dragged by the force of the impact. And his upper body bent backward and then his entire lower body was torn apart along with his spine. Then with a his, he dragged his broken legs and flew out.
With me at the center of his group. Like a storm, my force swept away anyone who wanted to flee and thought they had a chance to attack me. Soon I had finished killing the remaining ones while experiencing the mana draining from my body.

Tired and injured, I took out some medicines that I put in my inventory, some cuts seemed deep and deadly without proper treatment. As I continued with emergency treatment, I thought about my situation and the continuous messages that assaulted my head.

I had discovered several things that had been useful in combat, mana not only recovered my energy but doubled the power of his blows but I had to manage the flow of mana with extreme care otherwise I would experience the explosion again. I was on the verge several times of it happening again but fortunately, I was able to remember the sensation and stop the flow immediately.
The flow of mana should also be able to increase my abilities like running or jumping as long as I strengthen my muscles at the right time, but although tempting, it is stupid to try something that could very well leave me paralyzed if I make a mistake.
I would have to continue seeing what possibilities I had with the mana, but for now, I would have to think about what to do. Sixteen goblins had died today, m
It didn't take long for me to return to the entrance of the cave, only to see Dalos awake waiting,
"...I'm sorry" said the young man with a downcast look between tears "I'm sorry for being so weak.."
"Never regret being weak Dalos, regret continuing to be so when the opportunity to change presents itself"
"Come on, I have wounds that need care" Although I knew I needed time, I didn't have it at the moment.
I rushed to check on her, her pulse had improved and she had regained a little more color. Everything had gone well but I had been afraid, I had almost failed many times and it would have been the end of everything.
I gently passed the cloth over Grandma's face as I tried to treat the signs of fever, her body seemed to fight with everything that arrow had, it was not over yet, Grandma's life could be in danger and without proper medicine her death was inappropriate.
After making sure her face was clean, and then doing the same with her arms and legs up to her knees, I stood up and walked towards the entrance of the cave. As I approached, the sound of movement from outside filtered in.
Fear assailed me at the terrible idea of losing her and several solutions ran through my head, until I remembered my advantages outside of any logic. I searched the skill store for any skill that was related to what could help me until I found several options.
[Healing magic affinity]. 2sp
[Healing Light]. 3sp
[Alchemist Heal]. 3sp
[Green Magic Affinity]. 2sp
[Restoration]. 6sp
They all seemed like healing skills, but it was obvious that the affinities wouldn't give me any immediate advantage when it came to my mana and I didn't want to risk Grandma's life to experiment. So that left only 2 possibilities, I had already used all the alchemy medicines Grandma seemed to know and she was a knowledgeable woman, I couldn't risk gaining something that had already failed, so I would take healing light.
After a few hours of exploring with the new skill on my wounds. I had learned that all it could do was speed up my healing and numb the pain, which meant that on the deep wounds, I still needed stitches. Although they were working, it was taking longer than I would like to heal and my wounds seemed to get worse.
But for now, the priority would be Grandma,
"Are you okay?" Dalos said, standing beside me, as he returned from bringing food.
"I'm busy Dalos, if you want to help I need you to prepare a needle and thread, I'll need them later if you can sterilize things as I taught you"
"Leave it to me" He replied confidently, and determinedly
If her recovery rate continued, it would be at least another day, possibly two, before she woke up, which was too slow. Grandma had already spent days without being able to eat or drink, her recovery would only stop without nutrients and any attempt would be useless. I forced all the strength I had left for a final attempt while enduring the headaches and the loss of strength throughout my body.
"Dirhaël, this is.." She paused and looked around for a moment before continuing. "Where are we?"
"I thought you were going to die, grandma" I took several hard, deep breaths to calm myself.
"Bah, a stupid arrow would never kill me, it would take 20 to finish off this bag of bones." Grandma replied, with a weak tone of voice, almost whispering but with a trustworthy smile "You did something crazy again, you shouldn't put your life at risk for an old woman like me Dirhaël, your life is valuable"
"…I'll try grandma…" I said while gathering the few energies I had left only to feel my eyelids falling.
