Perhaps some people might not know who Colin is, so please allow me to introduce him—Colin Iliad is the Sequence 4 "Demon Hunter" of the Giant King's Pathway and the current Chief Elder of the Six-member Council of Silver City, located in the Forsaken Land of the Gods.
It can be said that Colin is currently the leader of Silver City.
As a battle-hardened and calm leader, who is even considered shrewd and resourceful, Colin is highly respected in Silver City. He has never let down his responsibilities or the expectations of the citizens of Silver City.
In the original work, this Chief noticed the unusual behavior of Little Sun Derrick and Shepherd Elder Lovia early on, suspecting that the two might be involved with some evil god or similar entity.
However, because Silver City had been mired in darkness for too long and had reached the edge of a cliff, it was in desperate need of a lifeline, regardless of whether that lifeline was a true god or an evil god.
Thus, Colin chose to secretly control the situation. While observing, he supported Derrick and Lovia, attempting to find a being connected to "evil gods" who could bring hope and a way out for Silver City.
Colin indeed succeeded. Later in the original work, after confirming through Derrick that Mr. Fool was most likely not an evil god, he leaned toward Mr. Fool, repeatedly trading with Mr. Fool through Little Sun Derrick. With Mr. Fool's help, he eventually ascended to Sequence 3, Silver Knight.
However, it's somewhat lamentable that such a responsible and cunning chief ultimately fell in the deepest part of the Giant King's Court, at the gate leading to the outside world.
But Colin probably had no regrets before this, as after fighting alongside Klein, Derrick, and others to defeat the Fallen Angel Evil Spirit, the door leading to the outside world was finally opened, allowing the citizens of Silver City to return to the sunlight, not silently dying in the dark.
Regardless of how Colin was portrayed in the original story, at this point in time, this Chief had not yet noticed Little Sun Derrick's unusual behavior—Derrick first caught the Chief's attention because of the clone Amon left in Silver City.
In the original timeline, that would have happened next Monday. Originally, Little Sun Derrick should have already been in the room next to Amon's clone at this time. However, due to some influence brought by Lynn, Little Sun Derrick had not yet had the chance to implement his "feigned illness" plan and thus had not attracted Amon's attention.
So, for Colin at this point in time, Derrick was just an ordinary member of the patrol team, without any particularly prominent features, except for walking the less common Sun Pathway.
But today, this seemingly inconspicuous and ordinary person suddenly told Colin that he had received an divine message, that two angels were about to descend upon Silver City, leaving the Chief momentarily unsure whether to believe, be shocked, or suspect that the person in front of him had eaten something strange, causing him to become mentally disturbed and hallucinate.
However, Colin's rationality told him that the other party might not be mentally unstable, because an ordinary patrol team member would not know about the existence of the War Angel and the Angel of Secrets.
For special reasons, the records about the angels who once followed the Creator were very fragmented in Silver City. Much of the information had long been lost, and what little remained was classified as highly confidential.
As the Chief of Silver City, Colin had naturally seen these records, so he knew that among the eight Kings of Angels who once followed the Creator, one was the War Angel.
If Derrick could learn about such a famous King of Angels through some snippets in ancient texts, he should not have known about the existence of the Angel of Secrets.
Even Colin himself knew very little about the Angel of Secrets. He only knew that this was a very special angel who, although not one of the eight Kings of Angels, had extremely close connections with the Creator, the Dark Angel, and the War Angel, holding a very high position in the former divine kingdom.
So, for Derrick, who shouldn't have known this information, to suddenly reveal knowledge of the War Angel and the Angel of Secrets, how could Colin not be surprised? Even a Chief as calm and composed as he couldn't help but ask at this moment:
"Do you know what you're saying?"
"I... Chief, everything I'm saying is true," Derrick stammered but quickly explained. "I know you might not believe me, but it's all true. I... recently, I accidentally established contact with a god, and that god is Mr. Fool..."
Although he was still somewhat stuttering, Derrick quickly and clearly recounted what had happened during this time—of course, because he didn't receive Mr. Fool's permission, Derrick didn't mention the Tarot Club, only saying that he had accidentally established contact with Mr. Fool and received his favor. He also said that today Mr. Fool suddenly gave a divine message, saying he would send two angels to descend upon Silver City, and so on.
Colin quietly listened to Derrick's account. His expression remained tense, making it impossible to discern what he was thinking, but the clenched fists suggested that he was not calm inside.
"...So the formulas for the Sun Pathway you obtained were all given by Mr. Fool?"
"Uh, yes, but I also offered something of equal value... Mr. Fool is a god who values equivalent exchange," Derrick quickly explained.
Hearing this, Colin glanced at Little Sun Derrick. After a brief silence, he asked, "The being you're in contact with is named Fool?"
"Yes!" Derrick nodded quickly. Seeing the Chief's tense expression, he thought for a moment and then said, "Mr. Fool is truly a benevolent god who follows the principle of equivalent exchange..."
Derrick used every complimentary word he could think of to praise Mr. Fool, concluding with, "Mr. Fool is a god truly worthy of trust."
Colin quietly listened to his narration, neither interrupting nor agreeing or disagreeing with his words of praise. He simply looked at Derrick and asked, "Do you know anything about the two angels who are about to descend upon Silver City?"
"Chief, you believe me?" Derrick showed a surprised expression. At this moment, still pure and untainted by the veterans, he obviously hadn't discerned what the Chief was really thinking. He simply recalled the usual content of the Tarot Club and then honestly said.
"The War Angel was once one of the eight Kings of Angels who followed the Creator. It seems that at some point, He fell but has now returned. As for the Angel of Secrets, I only heard it from the Pope... uh, I only know a little, that He seems to be the older brother of the War Angel?"
