Chapter 43:A contract

At Isengar's very serious expression, Adryan nodded slightly and this caused Isengar to get up from his chair as he took one last puff on his pipe and tossed the remains into an ashtray.

"I'll be back in a moment so wait for me here Adryan"

Nodding again to Isengar's words, the detective went up to the next floor.

As Isengar left the room, Adryan breathed a small sigh of relief.

It seemed that he had managed to divert the attention of the Detective....

It was quite a gamble on his part to reveal that he knew about the 'acting method' but it worked and the detective attributed his change in eye color to the digestion of the potion...

And when it's time to pretend about not knowing Hermes or Elvish it would be much easier and he should only show advanced progress little by little.

After a while, Isengar returned to the room with a piece of paper in hand and a silver container...

Looking at the paper and familiar container, Adryan couldn't help but feel a certain similarity with a certain event that Klein went through at the beginning of his story...

Isengar sat across from Adryan as he placed the paper in front of him and held the container in his hands.

"Have you told anyone else about the 'acting method '?"

"I haven't told anyone but you teacher"

Nodding to the redhead's response, Isengar handed the paper over to Adryan allowing him to see the contents.

It looked like some kind of contract and this made the corner of the red-eye's mouth tremble slightly...

'Yep although I was expecting something more flashy like swearing with my hand on a bone sword.... at least I won't have a GPS chip on me all the time...'-Adryan thought as he read the contents of the contract.

It was exactly what he expected, it was a contract not to share the information of the acting method with anyone who doesn't know it, no matter if they are inside the church...

Pretending not to understand, Adryan raised an eyebrow at Isengar as if asking what was this?

Seeing his student's expression, Isengar chuckled and explained what it was.

"My student, the knowledge of the method acting is forbidden to be shared, and all members who manage to discover it must sign a contract to prevent its spread."

Still pretending he didn't know, Adryan looked doubtfully at Isengar.

"A contract is not going to prevent it from spreading"

"A simple contract will not be able to do that but a notary contract can"

"A notary contract is a special contract that makes the person who signs it obliged to comply with its content"

Adryan's eyes widened in surprise and he moved away from the contract a little, again this reaction was false...

Seeing the redhead's actions, Isengar chuckled again and received a sharp glare from Adryan.

"Don't worry my student right now it's just a piece of paper and it doesn't contain anything special..."

"I gave it to you so you can review its contents and tell me if there's anything you don't like so we can change it before you sign the real contract."

Heaving a sigh of relief, Adryan nodded to Isengar and took the contract in hand, and seriously reviewed the entire contract.

After reading it 10 times and failing to find anything strange or any hidden deal, the redhead agreed to sign it.

Nodding to this Isengar asked for the contract back and then placed it in the center of the table.

He then grab the container and releasing the wall of spirituality Isengar pulled from it the familiar ring.

Placing the ring on his left hand, he then placed his hand on the contract.

Closing his eyes, a golden light lightly enveloped the ring and this light also enveloped the contract, causing its white color to become light gold.

After this happened Isengar quickly removed the ring and put it in the container and reapplied the wall of spirituality.

After that, he passed the contract back to Adryan along with a pen so he could sign it.

Grabbing the contract and feeling that he was now kind of hot, the redhead went back to reading the contract.

This made the corners of Isengar's mouth quiver slightly but he inwardly applauded the redhead's attitude.

After seeing that the contract was still the same and no new content had appeared, Adryan grabbed his pen and signed his full name.

After placing his signature, the contract shone slightly and the red-eyed man felt as if something were tying him to comply with the content of the contract.

This undoubtedly made him feel more respect towards the beyonders of the Sun Pathway...

After doing all that, Isengar grabbed the contract and put it inside his jacket.

"That would be all my student now we can continue with the class."

Nodding to Isengar, Adryan grabbed one of Hermes's books and got ready for class.

The class was like the others and Isengar was undoubtedly still surprised by the intelligence of the redhead.

It hadn't been long since he started teaching him Hermes and he seemed to understand the language almost completely so he decided that next week they would start with ancient hermes...

Apart from all that the class continued normally until 3:00 pm and because Isengar had work to do Adryan couldn't stay for tea.

So what he did was go to his house and grab his mask and cloak, and headed to Bravehearts Bar.

Adryan used the Burnt Band to move through the shadows and avoid being seen since the punishers were most likely looking for him...

Stepping out of the shadows in the vicinity of the Bar, Adryan took off the Burnt Band and stuffed it into his pocket.

Entering the Bravehearts Bar, Adryan went with the bartender and he told him where the old man was.

Entering the room, Adryan managed to see the old man who was in a chair drinking, and Maric who was playing cards...
