II. Serafina's Life

The city was bustling with busybodies, lights and traffic signages everywhere. The smell of car exhausts and pollution filled the air of this busy city.

Serafina's shift has just ended at Zelianis and was preparing herself to go home. Her co-worker, Aeaea, had offered Serafina a ride back home. Serafina happily took the offer and the two were now on the way home.

The scent of lemongrass filled Serafina's nostrils as she entered the sedan. "Work's been so busy lately, huh?" Aeaea asked Serafina who was busy looking out her window. Serafina didn't hear her as she was too busy pondering about life. Aeaea couldn't help but smile. Serafina was a young child in her eyes. Knowing her situation, she couldn't help but take pity on the child who had ventured to the world unknown.

As they were about to make a left turn on the intersection, a white light emerged from the left and crashed into their vehicle. Tremendously damaging the sedan where Aeaea and Serafina were in. Aeaea was sprawled on the intersection as well as Serafina who was choking up some blood.

Serafina tried to breathe but the stars started glowing brighter. "Please...let..me live.." she whispered to herself as she cried in silence as pain began to devour her body.

Loud sirens can be heard in the distance, she looked at Aeaea who was bleeding as much as her. "Please...live...Aeaea..." she said as she tried to stare back up into the sky.

Darkness was devouring her vision as the sirens came closer, Serafina took one last breath and look at the sky before the ghost of her eyes left her body.
