Chapter 11

Today was the day... Everyone from squad one through six was standing in the abandoned city, since we evacuated everyone from the city. Well, there was still a few people still evaluating the area. We don't need to worry about others right now, so evaluating everyone was the right decision.

I clicked the button on my case, seeing the huge black pillar in the end of the city. That's it.. we're just waiting on them to come. I grabbed my blade as everyone grabbed their weapons as the pillar began to open, and what we saw was horrifying.

It was a army of Zonbi slowly heading towards us. I rose my hand and pressed the button on my earpiece. I looked at my squad as we all nodded.

"1. 2. 3. Go!!!" The founder shouted in our earpieces as everyone took off towards the Zonbi's.

Once they saw we were running, they began ro run to, reaching up pretty fast.

Let's get to cleansing! I began to cut down any Zonbi that came into my way. I gave them no chance to use their abilities or stages, which is the point. I jumped up, performed a flip, and slammed my blade on the ground, as a red shockwave knocked away any Zonbi in the range of my red shockwave. I smirked taking off running into the crowd.

"Wait Katsunori!!" Jin shouted as I continued ahead.

I jumped, landing a kick to the Zonbi's face, dropping them to the ground. I did a roll and recovered quickly, continuing running. I felt rumbling, I looked up. Some are on the buildings..

Now, I don't have the agility Zonbi's do, but I'll find a way up there.

Hiraku POV

I was doing push ups in the cabin.. Man, Hooders kinda got me inspired. I stood up slapping my hands together. I looked towards Aimi and Hooder. I walked up.

"What's he doing today?" I asked folding my arms.

"He's working on fixing his form I think." She answered as I watched Hooder do various fighting movies. Mainly kicks. He was in the middle of a side kick until he looked towards town.

His eyes widened as he dropped his leg. I rose an eyebrow. "Whats he looking at?" I asked knocking on the window.

He quickly ran to the door. Me and Aimi looked towards the door.

"Guys! Somethings happening in the city!" He shouted pointing towards it.

"What?" I asked putting my hands behind my head.

"I saw a huge black pillar. And multiple Zonbi's on the roof of buildings, I think the ZAA are there to." He explained as I dropped my arms. My eyes widened.

"W-What..?" Aimi asked as Hooder clenched his fist.

"We have to help!" He shouted as Aimi's eyes widened even farther.

"What!? Are you crazy?! You'll die out there!" She argued as Hooder shook his head.

"I don't care. At this point, I don't care about dying. My life's already been fucked up since I became this!!" Hooder shouted as Aimi stepped back a bit. "I'm going..  With or without you guys..." He said turning to the door.

"I'm down!" I said as he turned back to me. He smiled and looked towards Aimi.

She stayed quiet before saying, "Fine. I'm not gonna let you both get yourselves killed." She as Hooder smiled.

"Alright. Let's go..." He said taking off running out the door. I looked at Aimi and smiled, taking off running after him. Aimi followed in behind.

Katsunori POV

I was able to reach the buildings roof, slaying some more Zonbi, man there's a lot of them... But there's a lot of us as well... I began to scale the buildings slaying any Zonbi's that get in my way.

I'm heading straight for the source, the king and queen... This seems like suicide... But.. if I don't stop the source this'll go on forever.

I continued forward, but something caught my eye, it was a group of people, three in fact. I looked at them, what are they doing here?! I could barely seeing what they looked like.

One of them pointed in different directions as the other two nodded and split up. The one that have directions looked towards the pillar and jumped onto a building. My eyes widened, it's a Zonbi!!

But.. what would they be doing outside of the battle, and why is that one going towards the pillar. I looked at it, dammit. I need answers.

I began to scale the building towards it. I drew my sword up getting ready to attack. He looked at me and blocked it with his arm, but it pushed him back. I landed on the building he was on.

"What do you think you're doing?" I asked as he slowly stood. He rose his head and looked towards me.

My eyes widened, it's the Zonbi I saw in my vision... And... "H-Hooder...?" I asked as he looked at me, almost like he was dead inside..

I pointed my blade towards him. "I should've known... I should've known you were a Zonbi." I said in anger as he continued to stare at me. A black fade covered his eyes.

His mouth gapped open, and he whispered, "I don't want to fight you.." I grunted.

"Why? I'm the ZAA! I'm your enemies!" He looked at me with what looked like fake happiness.

"But I'm not yours." My eyes widened. "My goal is the same as yours." He pointed towards the pillar. "To go and kill the king and queen in that pillar.." He explained as I bite my lip... Bastard...

"Quit trying to play the hero!! You're a Zonbi!!" I shouted zipping towards him.

I swung my sword at him but he ducked, "A Zonbi that's still human..." My eyes widened even farther, still.. human..?

He landed a punch to my gut.. I spit some blood, falling to the ground.

"I'm sorry Katsunori.. But you're not gonna stop me from completing my mission." He said dashing off.

D-Dammit.. I'd spit some more blood trying to stand... I can't just lay here.. I need to help my squad..

Hooder's POV

I was scaling the buildings at fast speed towards the pillar. I hope Hiraku and Aimi are doing alright... I stopped seeing two guys standing at the entrance...

What the... "Hooder!!" I heard turning around. It was Hiraku and Aimi.

"Hey." I said turning back towards the two Zonbi's at the entrance of the pillar.

"Those are knights, and they're crazy strong. If anything, you should try and stay away from them. I don't know why, but knights are super loyal to their kings and queens, they are determined to keep them safe at all times." Hiraku explained as electricity sparked around him.

He transformed into his first stage. "Listen, I'll hold them off for as long as I can. You and Aimi head into the pillar and kick the king and queens ass!" He shouted jumping down towards them. He landed a punch to one of them and the mouth on his arm stabbed the other one with its teeth.

"Come one Aimi!" I shouted grabbing her hand, zipping inside of the pillar. I took off running making sure I still had Aimi's hand.

We soon reached the main part of the area. There were two thrones, one with a guy and another girl. Must be the king and queen. They looked towards us, as my eyes widened. N-No way...

"Whats wrong Hooder?" Aimi asked walking up to my side.

"That's the king that made me... this monster.." I whispered as she looked towards them. The King laughed as he stood.

"Well, look at you. Came to join me?" He asked walking down from his throne. I let go of Aimi's hand. She walked to the side as I held up my fist.

"Far from it... I'm here to kill you and the queen." I said as he laughed even harder.

"Oh really even after everything I've done. I made you stronger, faster and everything. And you still try to play the hero?" He asked coming super close before landing a massive punch to my cheek. My eyes widened, he's so fast! I was sent flying to the side of the pillar, but before I could crash into the wall, the king appeared behind me, "What are you trying prove huh? Are you trying to prove that we are the bad guys?" He asked landing another punch to my back sending me to the ground.

I coughed up blood, laying on the ground. The King landed in front of me.

"Well. Just maybe you're right." He said, punching my face, which caused me to spit more blood. "But it's not just us you know. The humans are to blame as well... They've discriminated against us our whole lives. The only reason they fear us is because of our power.."

He landed more punches to my face as my face bloodied and bursied.

I heard fighting behind me, I think the queen is fight Hiraku and Aimi... I remember hearing him scream my name...

"But that's only because, we consume humans to get strong. But think about it, we don't need to consume humans to get stronger. We don't need to consume them all together. But, it's to show dominance. It's a way to show the humans that they are below us and always will be." He explained punching me more and more. "As you can see, they need our power to be able to beat us! Can't you see?! You blame us for everything. But you never thought to look at the humans?!" He shouted continuing to punch me...

He's right... Zonbi's and Humans are the problems with this world... But that doesn't make what these bastards are doing okay... And... That's why... I must...

Black and purple smoke began to erupted off my body. It began to cover me, as it  exploded, blasting the king back. I stood up, as a bird beak began to form on my face and spreaded a bit to my right eye, but it left a hole for my right eye. My left eye rolled into my head. There was two purple armor looking strap that started from my the side of my back and ended at my shoulders, digging into my skin, causing blood to roll down. But... the straps is what connected two identical large and wide looking black and purple centipede tails.

I rose up my thumb over my middle finger and pushed down on it, breaking it... My centipede tails came to my side as a sadistic smirk came onto my face..

I must become strong to cleanse this demon invested world!!!
